There is another way though, there are treasure chests around the starting areas, 2 of em are at the end of the beach outside of Cassardis, on top of rocks after the Seeker item. There's a chance you can get a two-hander from one of em.
If you decide to go search for Quina in Witchwood, when you come back through the shortcut(By following her) there will be a chest, i got either a two-hander or a wooden shield from there.
If you get your weapon you can change your vocation by going to Bitter black island early and talking to the lady. You can return back afterwards and start out as a warior :P.
how big is the chance to get a twohander out of the chest at the beginning?
you sure about that? you mean more like log out and load new dont ya?
I will try go ranger first, as far as i know it doesnt really matter pre 100 which vocation i use first, atleast thats what i did read. need to try things first anyways.
anyways thanks for the hints
well you can easily stay fighter until you reach Gran Soren, that's how you get the sinew augment which really helps with carrying stuff.
He also allready sells decend weapons and armor so ur well geared early on.
To get alot of money to buy stuff just sell the "monocle" that should be in ur stash.
Sells for a wooping 300k
i went ranger now at lvl 10 cause im gonna stay that vocation for quiet some time and i had weapons. The Sinew Augment can be obtainable laters on too right?
oh hell yeah, thats what i actualy did, i just didnt go warrior, i went ranger for the beginning. found some strong daggers and also a sorc staff for my main pawn. i could go 1 more stage down after the merchant. the only thing i saw was a giant creature held captive. didnt want to fight it xD
----------------------------------------------
guess im gonna do something like this for my MK
@Level 200
HP 4085
ST 3920
Attack 501
Magick 623
Defense 312
Magick Defense 333
----------------------------------------------
ooh yeah Augments, which ones are usefull too? saw some people talking about increasing dmg and stuff.
Well, assuming that MK is your ultimate goal, and not counting any secret augments, here are some which you might find particularly useful, broken down by which vocation you get them from. There will be more than six, of course. This list is just some possibilities. Pick whatever fits your favorite play style. To avoid a wall of text, just ask if you are curious about why I mentioned this or that specific one:
Fighter: Egression
Strider: Dexterity, Leg Strength
Mage: None
Warrior: Bastion
Ranger: None
Sorcerer: Awareness, Gravitas, Acuity, Articulacy
Mystic Knight: Fortitude, Adamance
Assassin: Autonomy (only if you run solo, and must-have in that case)
Magick Archer: None.
Major caveat: These are just my own personal faves. Other opinions, especially your own, may differ. I'll get over it. ;-)
EDIT: Actually, turns out guts armor isn't available on PC.
Here are the current stats, skills, augments and such for my warrior.

Also the way I'm building it is fallowing:
Fighter 1-10
Warrior 11-100
Fighter 101-200
My goal is to make the character as tanky as possible while stil being offensive with the two handed sword.
Augments are for solo play. (I pref. solo over party)
First three augments (Autonomy, Clout, Vehemence) are for STR boosting.
Bastion helps with defense.
Eminence boosts warriors very damaging core attacks and so does Ferocity when doing jump attacks. (You will use jump attacks alot)
Abilities are Exodus Slash to get away from really ugly stuff + as far as I know it does have invincibility frames.
Coronal Slash for AoE if surrounded.
And Arc of Deliverence is for sheer, mad damage and knock downs, be carefull when to use it tho!
I also chose a huge, heavy character so I can carry all the stuff around.
Hope this helps! Cheers, Mergo!
wait what? the body size actualy has an effect onto your weight management like how much i can carry? you kiddin right?
The more your toon weighs, the more weight they can carry. The taller your toon is, the faster they can jog (not sprint!), and the larger their starting stamina pool, but the slower stamina regenerates. Note that I said "starting" stamina pool. That equates to a tiny amount of a developed character's total stamina, since the vast majority of your stamina comes from leveling. Smaller toons also climb faster, including climbing big beasties.
To my thinking the stamina effect actually favors shorter toons, since the stamina regeneration of the shortest toons is almost twice as fast as that of the tallest, while the stamina pool difference is rendered meaningless by just leveling 2 or 3 times as a strider or ranger. That said, the carrying capacity difference is not to be discounted. If you plan to play a heavy armor, heavy weapon type toon, e.g. warrior or MK, then you had better size up a bit in weight if not also in height, or you may find yourself halfway to encumbered just from your minimum gear.
I'm talking about the western-most of the two chests in the rocks, meaning the chest closest to the Seeker's Token in the sand.
also magic archer is kind of easy-mode-archer with semi auto home in arrows by default.
very worthy.
