No pants?
Just started, buying some new gear. Bought some shoes, which show up in my "legs" category of armor. When I equip them, hey look, I am now not wearing pants... Is there not a way to wear both shoes and my pants? Is it really a feature that, when wearing shoes, one loses one's pants?

Lower body has 2 equip slots, Armor, and Clothing. A lot of Armors are boots, only some of them have something for your legs. Meanwhile, clothing is what consistently covers your legs.

So it sounds like you replaced a leg covering armor with one that didn't, and also have no clothes on.

your armor set consist of 6 pieces

helmet
arm protector/gauntlet
upper body clothing
upper body armor
lower body clothing
lower body armor

by looks, some armor completely cover everything making inner clothing not visible at all.
but ideally you would want to wear complete 6 pieces to have the best debilitation resistance
unless you want to reduce carry weight

Considering what everyone else has pointed out, I'd like to add I think it's stupid that a pair of leather shoes count as armor. Those aren't protecting you for anything. I wish they were considerd cloathing or accessory so you could wear shoes with something like plate armor.

You say that till you get smacked in the foot with a club or hit with an arrow. Foot protection is no laughing mater. A crushed toe and you're pretty much useless in combat.

Yeah, but all that armor didn't protect me from taking an arrow to the knee.

Why would armor prevent you from getting married?
