Remember to copy it and keep the forgery for the discount. All stock carries over into NG+ so you can do the other at no loss.

Caxton (and every other shopkeeper) also gets extra stock if you get his affinity up. It's good late-game stuff.
(That stock is NOT unlocked without affinity in NG+, despite what some sites say)

You'll get better eqipment in BBI, doesn't really matter. just make a forgery of the idol and keep it with you or your pawn.

If you give the forgery, stock doesn't update. Keep the forgery and give the real one.

I gave the gold idol to Caxton and haven't bought one weapon lol. If you're playing as a female I definitely say give it to Madeline. Once you get high enough level for BBi you will curb stomp all the enemies because that dungeon just throws high level weapons at you. So getting access to Caxton is a massive waste imo. Unfortunately I unlocked Caxton and only gave the silver idol to Madeline and that's one of the things I wish I could re-do without havign to start a NG+.
