Yes, the game is not online really. The only thing that requires a connection is when the game uploads your pawn to the server. This allows people to rent your pawn and give you items.

Eventually you will want people to rent your pawn as BBI items require rift crystals which are hard to accumulate on your own.

I just finished my second playthru. The different vocations are different enough that you'll most likely want to play the game a few times just to change it up.

It took me approx 150h for my second playthru because I wanted to get the best gear. My first playthru was pretty much for the main storyline and it lasted about 60h.

For the price especially with the summer sale discount the game will be well worth the money spent.

I like to look at it as Dark Souls with faster combat and climbing on monsters which is pretty awesome.

Yes, you can safely play it offline. The only issue is that you will not be able to rent pawn from other players and you will not unlock achivements.

Yes, of course. You can choose any vocation to play and beat the game over and over. There is also a massive amount of items to collect and discover so you will have fun for a long time.

Rift Crystals can be obtained easy at any level. Buy some throwblasts, go to Ward of Regret, save in front of chest with maneater, let your pawn open it and use 6 throwblasts to kill enemy. If it didn't drop RC, reload and try again. You can get up to 25-30k RC in a single kill if you're lucky. Also, good exp at low levels and sometimes bitterblack novelty or gear.

...and I can get upwards of 1mil RC in a few minutes with my pawn being rented by the right person.

We're talking about playing in offline mode, not trying to show who gets all his RCs only with help from other people.

And please, I tend to help people gain RC. It's not a one way street... I can easily rent a pawn around my level and get said person the same amount of RC I stated above.

My point was that it's easier to get RC from your pawn being rented. I think he thought he needed a constant connection to play "online", but that's not true. As long as he can connect to the internet once and a while his pawn can be rented and RC can easily be gained.

It's also extremely easy to burn thru 100k+ RC if you do one Daimon run and grab all the Lv3 Armor/Weapons/Gear from chests. So getting 25k from a maneater is nothing,

It really doesn't matter if your internet sucks as long as you have a connection once and a while your pawn will be uploaded to the server and the next time you get to connect to the internet you will net the RC from your pawn being rented.

Or he can get his pawn being drowned, killed by instant death attack or just returned with 0 RC and 3* rating (or with 1* for trolling). Besides, the only time i ran out of RC was when i decided to identify 40+ BBA lvl 3 and 15+ BBW lvl 3 at once. At BBI almost everything drops RCs and you won't really need it outside of BBI.

I think more important bonus from renting pawn is bestiary knowledge, but that also depends on who rents it.

By the time you begin Daimon runs you'll have hundreds of thousands RCs. My advice about maneater was for really low levels, like 10-20. You can get to BBI at low level, grab some cursed items including BBA and BBW from Midnight Helix and purify them. That helps a lot in the beginning of game.

I've honestly never had my pawn rented and returned with zero RC unless it was by someone on these forums that I was gifting items to. You can absolutely find a few good people around here who will use your pawn and get you RC.

40xlv3 Armors would require 1mil RC... so a hundred thousand or so isn't much. Especially if you are farming with the intent of getting the best armor with the best enhancements.

I don't think a first time player is going to want to go to BBI @ lvl 10 or 20. They'd prob rage quit XD

I've read such complaints from people at different forums. I never did that myself, but sometimes when i have to reload last save just because after getting some good loot one of stupid rented pawns decided to willingly jump into water... it's hard not to do the same thing.

Throwblasts can do wonders on many BBI enemies :) Not like gorecyclops of course.

And i was killing Daimon and other BBI bosses just for fun. Didn't notice how i got so many RC and cursed items.

If it's any indication, I've been playing this game since it launched on consoles. I was so excited when I found out this was coming to steam I nearly ran through the streets in nothing but a bath towel. Now there's an image...

That is completely wrong. RC are in no way hard to accumulate once you get to the stage of the game where you might actually use them.

yes . some features such as online pawn sharing and the various leaderboards. won't be available.

also ur dragon loots won't have the same potential
