Pawns don't deserve Great Gamble
This skill is way too fun to leave to mere pawns. The arrow control is so great that you can curve it clear around corners, and it hits with the concussive force of a very angry Hulk. Besides oneshotting big guys, you can oneshot a small guy and watch him fly off, over buildings, into the horizon, creating a small twinkle as he disappears into space.

You can tell it's the same director as the Devil May Cry games, since a wooden arrow providing that much explosive force on it's own, without breaking, is even less believable than a pistol bullet being capable of lifting someone into the air.

They do. Unless the target moves after the shot, they rarely miss. It is a boss killer ability, and does poorly as crowd control. I once did the math, which strongly suggested that a stamina of 4400 does 20k damage with a perfect GG shot.

The downside is that you need to keep the pawn's stamina continually refreshed since the shot charges only from stamina (and of course, the more stamina the pawn has, the more powerful the shot). If you give a GG Ranger Mushroom Potage, it will become a stamina battery for the whole party, which is a nice side effect.

would probably be at least entertaining to see if nothing else.

It's actually surprisingly entertaining to see, which is why I started using it myself. It has a similar visual effect to Deathly Arrow, but with more knockback and sheer damage. If you use it as the player, you get the advantage of seeing it in slow-motion and being able to curve it, a lot, mid-flight, giving it just the right epic feel for a skill you can't even get the base version of until max rank.

That said, it's not any more overkill than any other class's signature ability.
