grigori fight: flying on back stage
I have NO idea what I am supposed to be doing here. I'm flying on his back, and I am unable to move forward fast enough to get anywhere, unable to do damage without slipping backwards, unable to press keys fast enough to keep from being flipped off.

it's bloody stupid. oddly, I thought the idea was to FIGHT A DRAGON, not do all these stupid puzzles and running about.

*sigh*

so, what's the trick here? what am I supposed to be doing, EXACTLY? because it isn't about doing damage to him, that's for sure.

Move forward up his spine until you can attack the glowing heart.

You just need to advance far enough, towards the red glowing spot on his back(near the end of the ''wings part'', since all you can do is go forward).

it won't let me. ALWAYS flings me off after the second "press your sideways key repeatedly" step. doesn't matter if I pass it, it always flings me off after.

god this sucks.

whoever designed this is an idiot.

nope. every time. i get to the second "shake", and it doesn't matter how fast I press the key, it always shakes me off after.

any other advice?

screw this. is there any way to just bypass this stage entirely? I'm tired of mashing buttons.

Ichthyic Apr 17, 2017 @ 3:14am
really, even setting this stage to "easy" mode makes no friggen difference.

can't anyone tell me how to bypass this crap? it's really frustrating.

OK, going back through old threads, I tried holding down the forward key WHILE pressing the sideways keys alternately. THAT worked.

knew there had to be some stupid trick to it.

also, apparently this dragon's heart is so big you can hit it through his back.

stupid. stupid. stupid.

Do you have autism or something? All you have to do is hold W and move forward. When you see A/D buttons, press both of them repeatedly. When you arrive at glowing yellow spot, press left mouse button to attack.

Thats it.

My god you're a moron. Just hold forward, you'll get there, even if you fail the QTE, you will eventually get there. If there's really something wrong there - and I doubt it - it's on your end.

♥♥♥ u. I wasn't the only one reporting this was difficult on the PC version.

your comment is flagged. also? you're wrong. you MUST pass the qte to move forward.

The dragon doesn't have a singular heart. He has multiple, like Ur. In this case, at least your heart, Duke Edmun's , possibly Sofiah's heart (she's really unclear on where she sits and whether she killed her dragon or not. Keep in mind that while the Arisen apparently won't die from aging, they can fall prey to disease and combat death, with disease and stress capable of causing the appearance of aging), and the dragonforged (who supports the Sofiah theory via his more aged appearance compared to the fool).
It's entirely likely that you are hitting one of the various Arisen's hearts. However, given the resonance shown during the cutscene immediately after, you may be damaging a representation of your own heart, maybe simply removing shielding from it allowing that resonance, which seems to cause a severe twinge to both Grigori and the Arisen, which results in the fall onto that old battlefield.
