you can rest indefinitely in Cassardis and his running away won't stop. if you go outside of area and rest or play 7 days, he resets. the area of female bandits is Gransys, so maybe you should rest 7 or more days in Cassardis or Gran Soren since Greatwall is same area. or more than 7, at least with that bandit once he runs away you need again 7 days even if 6 already passed
as far as location, during the day it is as CrackeR says. during night she is with other bandits in the room with 3 chests
i know that if i would need to solve this, i would temporarily set portcrystal above the switch near chest with galvanic razors which is safe spot to check hostility from ophis without killing her.
The Cyclops and bandits outside the castle gate are always hostile even if your character and all party members are female. But you should be able to talk to the ones inside once you get past the gate.
As for whether Ophis will respawn if you've killed her I'm not entirely sure as I've never had to check (Never killed her) but Named NPC's tend to stay dead unless you revive them with a wakestone. As to where to find her, climb to the top of the wall and go to the room on the other side of the gate.
named NPCs revive in 7 days unless death is part of the quest.
