Skeletons and golems stop-motion movement issue?
I don't know if this is normal but it seems that skeletons and golems are moving around in "stop-motion", ie. they do any kind of small movement in segments. This is not just moving around, it also pertains to flinching, attacking, everything. I don't know if this is giving me an advantage since you'd think they do everything slower, but it might not be making a difference.

I am running the game in 144mhz and variable fps, though i tried reducing that to 59 mhz and 30 fps and they still do that. Other enemies seem to work fine.

Is this normal or is my instalation bugged somehow?

I just saw a video on someone clearing catacombs in ps3 and it happens there as well, so i guess this is normal?

Sounds like an anti-aliasing problem to me, try turning it down or off.

It's meant to give them an unnatural look, seeing as how they are animated by necromancers or sorcerors. They don't have natural and smooth movements like organic creatures and are imperfect and thus, have abnormal movement.

Unless it is an actual problem with the game in which case i don't know what it is.

So it's a design choice, huh? I mean skeleton are passable but those giant golems look very odd

Impossible to say without seeing it, but yeah, they're supposed to look weird. Is it like they're skipping frames as they move? That's normal.

Yeah it's that. Okay then!

I used to play Dragon's Dogma on PS3 as well. Skeletons and golems have this stuttering or laggy movement on PS3. Even though I have a high-end PC now, they still do the same thing. This is pretty much normal and probably how the game is. Don't worry about it :steamhappy:

It is intentional, yes. I've heard (unconfirmed) that it's something of a reference to Jason and the Argonauts, but that may just be a coincidence, and/or it's a reference to stop-motion animation in general.

Since those are the most obvious examples, I can confirm that it's an intentional design choice. Dragons are much larger than imposing, and yet they move with grace and fluidly. Only monsters animated through magic move while "skipping frames" as it were.

Reminds me of this from Total Warhammer.
