Aelinore Quests Questions [Spoiler]
So well simple stuff:
Can you finish the questline without killing guards?
Is there some other way to to gain access to her room? I need to get there for one of those badges...
And lastly: How romantic are the scenes going to get? I *really* don't want to have anything with her.

For the first question, probably related to the first quest, Arousing Suspicion:

You only need to sneak at night once in the whole questline. It's pretty easy to get into her room without getting spotted. Go through the side door. The guard with his back turned can't see you. You can always go to her bedchamber in the day if you wanted to get the badge and some other goodies.

For the last question: The most intimate moment will be at the last quest in the questline, Duchess in Distress. After reuniting with the damsel in distress, guess what happens? At least you'll get a rare upgrade/crafting material at the end.

You should probably hold off on Duchess in Distress until The Final Battle. If it helps, you could also lower her affinity (if she starts glowing, then she loves you) with some violence or Liquid Efflluvium.

The first question is about the Duchess in distress, reading on the wiki it seems like you have to kill guards, something i absolutely don't want to do.

I don't really have any idea what happens... that's why i asked

The second question is on how you do the thing *without* bothering with the quests, because I don't want to break the rules...

You don't kill the guards until you escape with Aelinoire. At that point, you would have mananged to sneak in with a disguise and got past all the guards without problems. If it helps, those guards are completely unrelated to the guards that you see in Gransys. They're just hired for protecting the Manse and won't take you to jail. But if you really don't want to kill them, then you could always run past them while carrying Aelinoire.

Is there a badge of vow in the Blighted Manse? I know that there was one in the bedchamber at the Duke's Castle in Grand Soren.

If you fail Duchess in Distress somehow then you may be able to get inside according to the wiki. But I never failed the quest before so I don't know.

sure running past them works? i don't want to kill them for moral reasons, they aren't bad guys, just regular soldiers doing their jobs
i am talking about the one in her chamber. So the only way to get in is doing the quest or failing it?
also about the romantic scene, you didn't say what happens

Probably. You just need to bring her close to the next door and she will run to unlock the door. Having group curatives will help in keeping her alive or have a wakestone handy in case she dies. (EDIT: I've done this with another character (lvl 10 strider, using an alt exp table mod to stay at level 10) with a plain rusted shortbow (for a very low Strength of ~133) and some sleeper arrows. You have plenty of tricks to use like a Mystic Knight's Sopor spell, Magick Archer's Shadowsnare or vortex arrow. But running past the guards just works. Grab her and bring her to the door)

For the badge of vow in the Duchess's Bedchambers, which is in the Duke's Demense in Gran Soren, it is where you found the duchess in Arousing Suspicion. You don't need to do the questline for it, but make sure you have started the appropriate Badge of Vow quest for the badge to show. Just walk into her bedroom during the day and it should be there.

You hug, kiss, fall to a bed towards the camera, and fade to black. I think there is only two implied sex scenes in the game and this is one of them.

My mistake, I forgot about the guard... He probably disappears once you start the questline. I haven't seen him after completing Arousing Suspicion.

For the Blighted Manse, it's only accessible during Duchess in Distress and you need to be wearing the set of armor that Mirabelle gave you.

The Hero achievement? it only requires all the non-board quests (which include both of her sidequests) to be completed. So you will have to sleep with her for that achievement. It could be worse...

yeah but he is still there despite me having accepted the quest not having met her aid at night, though

Well the only thing worse would be killing innocents... oh wait.

I know how you feel. I went to help said duchess as a female arisen (female myself) and when I got there I was like, um....stop. I thought you needed help? Geesh. Is this how men feel when they get taken advantage of by helpless hussies? Anyhow, you can "esc" through the awkward scenes and decide that the writers didn't know what they were doing and that's not "my story" if the achievement is important enough to you. It doesn't really have any effect on the rest of the story so long as you make someone else like you more after she's gone.
