Farming RC
Is there some kind of secret? I'm so far behind on purifying my stuff and I don't really know how to get RC other than running through BBI and hoping to find it.

The best way to is have someone run BBI with your pawn I'll take your pawn on a few runs real quick net you maybe 600K or so also

read up on how to use godsbaning to get what you want to reduce wasting it

To answer your question though the best way to get RC without having your pawn rented is to farm mimics using the godsbane I haven't found a better way mimics can drop up to 35k rc sometimes

Ah okay. I guess that makes sense. Kind of a way to get people to be social and whatnot since it's not multiplayer.

Pawn hires, definitely. I got like 2 million RC from like 8 hires after returning to DDDA after a year of taking a break. It's a lot faster than that, of course.

But it's so much better than grinding BBI (er, what you're doing IS grinding, but I mean grinding for RC items..) When I'm done having two sorcerers for group spellcasting fun, I'll take your pawn for a ride

Daaaaamn. I don't think you'll ever need RC again lol

I am usually playing one save for like 50 hours doing everything and getting a descent equipment (BBI3-weapon, BBI2-armor or better), get bored and start with another character anew. You can do the Questboard in the pawn guild basement "From a different Sky". Use a guide of some sorts (the dd-wiki is good for this) and plan to be busy for a minimum of 5-10 hours. Also plan for swapping to a class, that can either double-vault, levitate and/or frigor. Doing all 100 quests (90 or so pre-deny salvation, 3 during deny salvation and the rest post-dragon or so). will grant you maybe 150k of RC's. After that you could start a new game (swap to Normal Mode and start in Hard Mode again), get to Gran Soren and pick up the quests with all 100 tokens in your inventory to get new ones. But prepare Spring Waters, because escort to gran soren sucks balls. :P

Since I don't play for long on a save, you can also do the questboard-missions in the pawn guild basement "From a different Sky":
* Use a guide (e.g. look for the quest on the dd-wiki)
* Start after the Griffin hunt for portcrystals (Barta's Crags, Bluemoon Tower, Hillfigure Knoll, near the Shadow Fort) and buy some Large Mushrooms for stamina replenishment
* 5-10 hours worth of time.
* Vocation with Levitate and/or Frigor, Vocation with bow

90 or so will be doable pre-deny salvation, 3 during deny salvation and the rest post-dragon. Once you're done, you'll have like 150k of RC's which is a good starting point, you will certainly gain more post-daimon on BBI. Also once you have all Badge of Vows you can NG+ (or restart in Hard Mode), rush through to Gran Soren (bring Spring Waters, because escort mission) and just pick up the quests, with the Badge of Vows in your inventory.

This is probably the most grind-y method, because you can only pick up 6 quests at a time and they spread them out evenly and you will spend much time going to the same area and stuff.

Edit: You get 237,200 RC's out of all 100 quests. and believe me, BBI3-Armor is very expensive (25k RC/ea), those 2kk will only last this long. :)

2 million RC (more like 1.7m RC right now) will definitely run out if you go hardcore with BBI LV3 anything purifying.

I'd rather buy two copies of the game and take the steps to one-up myself with hiring than do quests with my main character.

Reading that last post reminded me that you can use (family share) on steam to share your game and use your own pawn.

Using the godsbane, you can purity each item and if you don't get what you want just retry and trash them. Also, you can change what you get but not hte stats on what it is for example, says I want BBI Lv3 warrior armor with stam replen on kill and I get Strider armor will

godsbane, change your class to warrior, kill your pawn and both hires, save, godsbane again, then purify again, and that'll reset the RNG and give you a warrior or fighter armor or with that stat.

With steam's family setup you don't need to buy another account, you can family share the game with up to 5 (not sure if that is you +4 or you +5). What this does locally is set up new folders under your steam folder for each account, then game folders for each game that an account accesses. Using this you can run that many different characters with pawns for hiring and friend your family member accounts for renting higher level family pawns, if you wish.

That's actually pretty awesome... I may have to go do that... Been wanting to run an assassin and MK but didn't want to erase my MA.

I have a Folder where i store all my saves, so that I can switch freely between them. Usually means being banned for 24-48 hours from the pawn exchange. :3

Make a pawn which people hire. Wait.

Not sure about the ban thing, but this is entirely different from what I was talking about. You can't rent a pawn from one save to another save on the same account. The server will update to your current save and pawn you are playing with.

If you have family accounts with different characters and obviously different pawns, you can rent pawns from the other accounts since they are active.

That should not be bannable for any reason otherwise the entire family share thing is junked. In fact it is the same as having bought multiple version of the game and playing each and using pawns from one to another which is why I mentioned it.

Yeah. I think I may do this with several accounts and just keep them all at the same level to give myself the best team of awesome possible (as far as pawns go that is). No more searching for 30 minutes to find a pawn that I actually want to take! :D lol
Vega Mar 10, 2017 @ 12:59pm
Nothing worse than trying to find a pawn with specific skills, looks and gear only to figure out their inclination is Guardian.

By the way, Lerrasien, are you currently playing solo? Tried finding your pawn, no dice.
