Black Abbey
What's the respawn time on the boss(es) in there? My first run through (this is my second, restarted due to dislike of final class) I had 2 dragons which really amped up my gear due to the wyrmfire upgrades. I just had some lame ass Lich and Gorecyclops this time, so my gear is still kinda meh, since I can't seem to get any of the stuff required to get it past 1 star. Thinking of rerunning it to try and get them, but not sure on the respawn time. Any insight?

You must've gotten the Wyrm and Wyvern combo inside there, which means you're pre-daimon. I do believe exiting and re-entering The Black Abbey spawns a new enemy from the list.

However, since you're pre-daimon, that means Duskmoon Tower is peaceful, get some rancid bait meat and throw it at the ledge there, a cursed dragon will spawn, not only is it tougher than those dragons but has a higher higher DF chance (even at 0 stars), all you have to do is stand at the edge and cheese it, unless you're a melee class.

Black Abbey--enter and if you don't want to fight what is in there exit and re-enter. Mobs spawns for each entry with no re-spawn time.

Which location is that again? I just started recently so I'm not 100% on BBI location names just yet. I looked it up but it doesn't sound familiar. It sounds kind of like the first place you come to, but it says snakes and spiders, but the one I'm thinking of has squirrels, deer and crows.

How much Magic would I need to be able to deal damage to it as MA?

I only have 798 at the moment with my bow.

to access special fights in abbey (the two cursed dragons fight is part of that) you need Fiend-luring incense on you. there are 3 special fights when doing that

2 cursed dragons and sirens
7 living armor and wights
5 garms, hellhounds and wargs

same rule of carrying incense with you goes for Rotunda of the dread

(ordinary nor dire) drake, wyvern, wyrm
3 elder ogres, 3 eliminators and sirens
2 prisoners and pawns

unlike normal fight each group is only available to win once. exit/enter and you will get group in RNG. if it is group you already defeated, abbey is empty and you need to exit/enter again

Yes, the one I'm talking about has deers, crows and bunnies. Large open place with Moongem doors and chests, multiple doors to BBI locations.

To get there, go through the Garden of Ignominy (has wargs, goblins and usually a goblin and sometimes a garm spawns), which is the first location you'll hit when arriving to BBI, aside from main area being the docks with the riftstone, purify robe chick I forgot the name of and secret entrances to other parts of the island unlocked later.

Once you run past them or kill them, there's a hall where you go down left then turn right into a door which leads to Duskmoon Tower, usually Barroch is there unless you progressed forward and killed Gazer I think then he moves. At the ledge there you can lay down Rancid Meat and get an immediate Cursed Dragon to spawn below, as magic or ranged, all you gotta do is pick at its heart to knock it down, then just shoot it while it's on the ground and make sure to dodge his <50% toxic spits.

Since I pretty much levelled using archery vocations more than sorcerer and stuck to an assassin, I pretty much have base str and mag attack of 459 and 387, and I have a DF Dragon's Glaze which increases it to 1186 and 778, which hurts a little.

In order for me to hurt him I need to use the deathly arrow and do a well timed shot where it glows and gives a slow motion effect.

Best way to see if you can hurt it is to try it, if not, use boosts, salomet secret 4x for you, MA can do the job better than a Ranger that's for sure.

Yeah, I went to Vocation 9 on Mage then Sorc and I've been doing MA ever since then. I'm currently level 51, so the next 149 levels will all be MA as well. Idk what that will put me at toward end game. I know it won't be as much as if I did all Sorc or w/e, but I don't much like playing the sorc (cast times make me cry even with the rank 9 sorc passive and the wyrm ring lowering the cast times).

Yeah, that's what I thought it was. Looked it up and the wiki is all like "snakes and spiders" and I was just like... uhhhh.... lol

I'll have to do that for sure. I'm sitting on 20 of the magick boosting periapts (sp?), so I'll at least have them if I need them. Thanks for the info mate :D

I really want to run an assassin in my next run through but I also don't want to have to rely on a pawn to fight anything at ranged.... since they're not all that intelligent...

Found him in the Pilgrim's whatever just now and it was questionable, but I got it done. Used 2 wakestones due to me being a little crazy/stupid and trying to blow my own explosive arrows and getting 1 shot. But I got everything except my helm and cloak dragonforged now, so it was well worth it.

I have 918 with my bow now, so 148 higher just from that. I'd say it was pretty worth it.

Even better is he gave me the passive that reduces me to 1 hp rather than death when hit with a killing blow.
