Autonomy completely useless...?
So I read that it gave +70% physical and magical damage as well as a little bit of defense. But now it only gives +20% in Dark Arisen...? Why would you even minorly consider dropping 75% of your team in order to gain such a meager gain to your own damage...? You not only lose numbers and other things for enemies to hit, but you lose so much utility that it hurts. Not to mention if you run even just 2 damage dealers, you're losing a ridiculous amount of damage in the trade as well... Who thought that this was a reasonable trade off...?

It is the skill for Lone Wolves. And +20% attack power and +20& defense is a big deal with BBI equipment after goldenforged.

It's only 30 base defense from what I read. And I get that it's for lone wolves. I would love to roll solo. But I just can't in good conscious throw all of that away. Buffs and crowd control are a big deal and make a world of difference. And losing all of that as well as damage just isn't worth it to me :\

Unless you are doing a solo playthrough you can skip Autonomy until you have mastered the game and wish to farm things solo where it will help you out quite a bit. Typically if I am farming the greatwall wight's skeletons solo or farming dark bishop or daimon I take autonomy.

old percentage was totally overboard OP. the fact they nerfed it, finally made it playable and not destroying game anymore

even with dragonforged grigori weapons you could reach 11K attack with daggers (with old lesser stats in original dogma). with GF framae this would stack to 18K when you went full power (this is without wearing rainbow pimp str boosting gear or str rings). just wearing "boosts str when seen by enemy" would add additional 1K for single enemy.and 5K at 9 enemies or more

since it boosts defense as well, you practically become untouchable and you freely use exilaration whole time as well (boosts x1.3)

regular mexed dagger light slash would take around 50% of one bar from death. now, imagine what it would do to everything else

I guess I can understand that. It just doesn't sound like a very worthwhile investment when I look at everything I'd lose when dropping 3/4 of my team for a simple 20% damage boost.

Is there some other boost that you get for going solo? Like more experience, etc?

The adjustments to XP/RC earnings are capped at a difference of 25 levels, therefore having a pawn in your party that is 25 or more levels below yours is the same as having an empty slot in terms of leveling. Even the most worthless offline pawn is capabable of muling your extra stuff.

Pre-nerf Dragon's dogma, you used to be able to get higher damage with dragon forged gear + using bloodlust + autonomy + low HP mods, somewhere in excess of 11k with a D-forged Ascalon, or around 8500 damage with D-forged Heaven's Keys. That was what the online UR builds were running. Sorcerers could get 8k+ easily, and then you could stack periapts on top of that. You need BiS gear to get those numbers in Dark Arisen, and I still don't think those numbers are reachable even with the best gear now.
