OH, now i remember why i stopped playing...
after suffering through the game once on xbox and then forgetting about it, i bought the game on sale a year or so ago. Only to realise i'd forgotten the utterly BULL FECES sidequests. like i have to go to the witchwood and save Quina or she dies. i can't go play the main quest and come back BECAUSE SHE DIES if you don't do it RIGHT THERE AND THEN.

which means you have to go through the bandit sawrms that are all 10-20 lvls higher than you.

WHICH WOULD BE FINE accept for all the UNKILLABLE WARRIORS who reduce even your most devestating hits to CHIP DAMAGE. exactly how the crap are you supposed to get through?

And don't tell me 'run like a chicken ♥♥♥♥ isiot and let your pawns suicide die fighting them' because that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and you DO and WILL get caught out by a bandit and die alone like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥

You don't have to save her, she won't die because you didn't save her

yes she does. if you leave the sidequest too long, she dissapears from thw witchwood, and is not found anywhere on the map after that.

How is that NOT dead?

Because she doesn't die and she can be found in the abbey after that. BTW you can go to the woods at night, the bandits are sleeping then.

It's not like there is ng+

lol ironically dudes actually inside the camp are like level 8. All the stunlock flinch proof bandits are outside picking herbs.

yeah, it's the worsd and board ♥♥♥♥♥ that are the problem, all the rest you can take down, but those guys have like, full iron everything

There is always the action of running past them rather than trying to fight things you know are more powerful than you.

You can focus on other, less damage proof bandits, and after they're down, concentrate fire on the undying ones. Will take a while, and some skill in avoiding damage (perhaps a few curatives too), but they will eventually die.

Yeah, I wish there was a level indicator on everything. I don't think the game actually has levels on mosnters, but some approximation could have been done based on their stat values. Some creatures are definitely out of place and it would be nice to be able to see that visually.

Since you're on PC you have the expansion. Grinding out stuff in Dank Arisen will get you the gear to move forward. The first moonbeam gem is something you should be able to sprint to and if you get a weapon from it you will have enough damage to move forward with ease.

I missed that quest because it seemed like it wasn't supposed to be done until later, and the quest to go with Mercedes to Gran Soren seemed like it was supposed to happen immediately. I don't think I would have even gotten the quest if I hadn't decided to go back to Cassardis to visit a shop or save on lodging or something.

She definitely doesn't die, I have seen her in Cassardis after that (without progressing the story any further than the quest that breaks it, which I didn't even realize was a story quest when I took it).
the game isnt that bad at scaling, sure it takes alot more hits to kill them but it isnt impossible, iv had this game for almost a week now and restarted a few times trying to find my favorite way of playing and everytime i do that quest and get to the bandits it just takes more time but shouldnt be super impossible hard like trying to kill the drake near that one castle while being level 20, cause i sure tried to do it, :P took me 30 mins and i couldnt kill it completely as my hits to the heart woudlnt register , thne i died and restarted cause i was so mad about it

Lunar, those enemies are somewhat different n my opinion. drakes don't need to stagger because their attack patterns make them simple. Human enemies refuse to stagger right even late game. I swear intimate gambit is only on my skill list to force human enemies to reliably stager.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I hatte going skydiving alone without a parachute. That and being locked into moves that the same enemy ignores.

1. Quina doesn't die, she can be found in the Abbey. If you follow the quest line you will end up getting her into the Abbey.
2. The quest is gone if you do the chimera head travel to Gran Soren quest which you don't need to do instantly so kinda your fault for having that quest gone before you're able to do it.
3. There's NG+ which you will go through anyway. It's gonna take me probably 3 runs through the game to get all side quests for the Hero achievment done and i dont complain.
4. I personally did this quest to save Quina in the begining while i was still weak low level. Was sort of fun to fight these strong bandits as Fighter blocking like a baws.

I understand your frustration but i truthfully believe this is a stupid reason to stop playing this game.
