(SOLVED) Low FPS

EDIT: Spoke with devs, low fps on servers turned out to be a fluke after repeated testing. As for self hosted games bots were the source of low fps.

Title says all 20-30 fps on lowest settings 1080p. I don't expect this to be fixed immediately, and of course it varies based on map and amount of bots, for the most part. Specs are:

AMD FX-8150 @4.2 ghz 30 °C

16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 802MHz (9-9-9-28)

(Yes, I know AMD FX processors are "weak" compared to intel and comparable ryzen processors, no need to remind me)

Is your computer using your GPU?

Your CPU is six and a half years old. The only CPU's from that era still worth using are the i5 2500k and above, even then they need to be clocked at 4.5Ghz. Time for an upgrade.

Yes. It's a desktop with no other GPU installed

Rage: it does seem a bit abnormal that you're getting such low FPS. The game is indeed CPU-intensive (you can probably crank up all the graphics settings to max and you won't see much of a difference in performance on your PC) and still pretty unoptimized in this regard but 20FPS on that configuration sound awfully low.

Could you do 2 things for me?
1) Give me the log file, it's in Steam\steamapps\common\Angels Fall First\AFFGame\Logs\Launch.log. Upload it somewhere or come to our Discord and just paste the file there
2) Go into the game, play for a bit, open the console (it's ~ key by default), type "stat slow" and make a screenshot of that

Running many bots is very CPU intensive, if that is the bottleneck you should see much better fps when playing on an online server. GPU wise our game is not super heavy (also I have no idea about how good ATI/AMD products are).

AMD cards eat your game. Backed by an i5 2500k clocked to 4.5 Ghz, which is nearly 7 years old, my frames are through the roof. Your game is CPU intensive because of the AI, which is not too shabby either.

Incidentally I played online a few days ago and didn't notice a difference in frames, although it was on a space battle map I'd never played before.

Yeah, the GPU's definitely not going to be the problem here.
