Not really a review, just some quick thoughts.

I love this game now. I bought it when it first released, and kind of bounced off it for whatever reason. It was a bit too brutally difficult for my taste. And, I just didn't really grok all the mechanics and strategy.

But, I have been playing it quite a bit in the past two days, and I'm loving it. I now understand almost everything, the game seems more fair now. I'm just playing on normal difficulty, but I think they eased up on that level from what it was on release.

So . . . very enjoyable game, now that I'm understanding it much better. So . . . onwards to more campaigns and skirmishes!

I hope the developers create a new campaign, instead of just new armies for skirmish. Campaigns are where it's at for me. But, I will also play skirmishes as I hear they are a lot of fun in this game. Strictly single player vs. the A.I. for me.

Interesting take on HoM&M formula with gorgeous art style. I hope there will be more factions DLCs.
