The most gorgeous game which I can't recommend. There's just not enough depth in the game. This could work as a stepping stone to get someone into 4X games or HOMM-likes (Songs of conquest, any HOMM games, Age of wonders etc.).

Unfortunately, after a few games there's not much left besides gorgeous artwork (which is THE reason I got this game).

If you want to get someone to try HOMM or 4X this might be the Hook, but otherwise pass

A really fun idea inspired by homm and confidently taken into its own direction.
After completing campaign(skirmish, but not mp) my impressions are:
-Amazing art and design together with animations, smaller details like change of city visuals when you lvl them up is even more noticeable in such art style
-Campaign, altho in terms of main story did not impress me, lore was quite cool behind the factions and the world. (also, its voice acted for yall that always skip homm walls of text), not that long but if you explore properly its a fine length
-Maps themselves are cool as you can approach them differently, miss or uncover hidden ~side~ quests and secrets, meanwhile decisions on these maps actually have an impact on the outcome, there is strategy behind moves
-Interesting mechanics of the game itself, mix from different games that feels right for this genre (hiding in forests, marching stances, neutrals actually making hideouts from abandoned cities etc.)
-Battles themselves are engaging and def have a strategical element from positioning to active cards, cards have various cool effects that actually can turn battles outcomes, factions have unique gameplay both outside and in battle, only 3 factions but well distinguished plus a bunch of neutral factions to utilize from, also with their own quirks
Some factions are stronger early game, others late game, good differences in play style and behaviour
Music is well done and authentic
You can actually unlock a bunch of different heroes and gameplay additions through just playing the game, nice touch

Now things that I wished were better or available:
More rpg elements behind heroes and army, more cards, more map interactables
Would make it more fluid to be able to move units leaderless
Cities that can be managed and developed beyond just hiring units, trading and artifacts
More polish in terms of optimisation (tho nothing deal breaking)
Altho voice acting is there, its hit or miss sometimes, I feel like they wanted to make this chill for this type of genre, not too loud and emotional but overdid it on some parts (also damn if you wanna put voice lines between every enemy turn, make it more fluid so it doesnt slow down the pace, but good for skip option). Tho I do like that enemies have something to say and things are vocally interactable across the board
Some more UI elements for clarity like buffs to power etc. (to see changes in stats above max)

Pretty good and exciting prospect for a first game (afaik)
I hope devs expand on it and develop further, potential is there

Not sure what the game is like because the text is minuscule even at 120% scaling and in combat, units blend into the background with foggy haze everywhere on top of that. The font used for menu buttons is some really weird one that is very difficult to read.

It's unfortunate because the rest of the game looks like it could be interesting but it's ruined by a few choices.
