Maybe you can take a look at a let's play, checking how the player manages to progress in the area where you are stuck.
Don't give up !
As you'll see I did finish it! I figured out 'try try try again' by figuring a path over the methane tanks. But I got stuck a few times - literally, I got wedged once or twice! It did take me a while to notice the body up on the higher path with the glowing ID card - so once I saw that and figured out the powering up section as well I was finally able to do it. But it wasn't the best part of the game, alas.
The other level I didn't like was the underwater lava section. One of the threads on here praised that part, but I found it disorienting and a bit muddled. I died a few times there too.
Them aside, it was pretty close to perfection and I again applaud you on fine work :)
Not trying to find some excuses but with Narcosis we tried to generate different kinds of emotions, and not necesarilly positive ones. Just like some writers or film makers do.
I find it's more just annoying. Underwater in that suit walk quite slowly, so when you die, then have to spend all that time slowly trudging back to the place where you died. For me it spoils it, I don't feel dispare, just annoyance at the save point being so far back and slow slow slow walk back to where you were.
I am not scared of something killing me or what not in this game, I am scared of having to slowly walk back if I do die.
