🚧 DEMO 1.15 - PRESENTATION UPDATE 🚧

Hello everyone!
Restless Rites has just been updated before the game debuts on this month's Steam Next Fest!

This update is focused mostly on the game's presentation and pacing. The main goal here was to improve some small bits of the game to hopefully result in a better introductory experience to the game while reducing the time player's will spend on the Tutorial. A third "chapter" was added which functions as a small ending to the demo, with a small surprise.

Tutorial
Increased player Move Speed (Tutorial Only)
Reduced the number of Leaf Piles on the Leaf Sweep Tutorial
Removed the second breakable platform on the Trash Throwing Tutorial
Removed the breakable platform placed before the Cemetery

Added a new introduction sequence for the Chapel in the Tutorial
Added an "Interlude" chapter which functions as the demo's ending
Bug Fixes
Fixed being able to create gasoline puddles on wall lamps
Fixed the text size on some UI elements breaking on certain languages
Fixed a bug in which the player would soft-lock themselves in the Tutorial's Firing Range
Quality of Life
Added a spotlight to the Confessionary after finishing all the tasks for the day
You can now attack the Phone Ghost with your Broom

Hi! Just saw there was an update to the demo today. I don't know if it was pushed sometime earlier during the weekend but I can't seem to find anything relating to what's inside of the update! Is it more content or bugfixes? Eager to know what's next in store for us!

Please keep in mind that this is the first release for the demo version, which is planned to receive a few updates in the following weeks.

⏱️ PLAYTEST 1.07 - THE END IS NEAR ⏱️

Greetings once again, Chapel Keepers.

As the Public Playtest for RESTLESS RITES is reaching its end, I have decided to push out one last update before it eventually ceases to exist, forever.

While this update does not bring any new content to the playtest, it does bring... Localization and Gamepad Support! Hooray. Please note that not all planned languages are currently included. More languages will be added to the game in following updates. Lastly, if you still plan to try out this Playtest: know that it will most likely be going away on January 10th. But don't worry! While this version of the game may be going away, you'll still be able to play an even better snippet of the game (for free) really soon. Stay tuned!

Altered the Smartwatch's input to switch tabs to MOUSE 1 and MOUSE 2
You can now toggle sprint ON/OFF (You can switch to Hold in the Options)

Hi! I just found out about this game and it seems really interesting. I see that there was a playable demo at some point but it seems there's not anymore. Will there be another chance to try it out before release?

This might be Yun Bee Lee No's best game yet!

A few weeks prior to their IP being acquired by Pale Opossum studios, Yun Bee Lee No, the genius upcoming game developer, granted me an Early Access copy of Restless Rites, and dare I say, this game will be a huge hit! The game has intricate mechanics whose existence has never been seen before in any other title, I'm quite baffled at how well thought they are, even triple a titles are not pumping this much innovative technology in their most recent IP's, which is rather amazing given this enticing interac...
