Is it true that Notch had worked on Wurm?
If so, is there any proof aside of Notch saying so?

Yes, Notch was Wurm Online co-creator, he released initial version of the game together with Rolf in 2003 and left the development team on 12 April 2007.

I am sure there are more sources about his work on Wurm Online, but most links I have are no longer valid.

He was the co owner before Wurm was officially released, their beta and a little bit after release. he left not long before Minecraft was released. The game was ran under Mojang untill he left and took the company with him.

Google will also verify everything.

Ah, okay. Seemed like this game had really Notch's involvement (language choice and performance/code quality... yep.), but wanted to be sure.
