But note they only eat one food at a time. So if you have enough bread meals, they won't ever eat any berry meals. So you only need to focus on getting enough of one food, then cap the earlier one.
it is just no logic food don't feed....cake isn't easy to craft, a few other meal in luxury too...(the fish is easy to collect, and berry too, but here berry can be use to feed)
Basically.. They will use the best food you have, and one of each luxury you have up to the max number of each luxury allowed per day. It shows on the luxury tab how many of each luxury they use a day.
I don't know the logic. I guess they figure they are snacks and not meals. But it it is confusing and they don't do anything to really explain they aren't food when.
They should of made cooked fish the same tier as berry meals, and left it as an alterative to berries because it doesn't matter anymore if it's "Easy" because they only use it if you don't have better food. vs under the happiness system where you needed a bunch of food types for the happiness value.
This it partially true. For your first town, it really doesn't make a huge difference if you make them or not imo.. I had more points to expand when I needed - but for your second town and on, shipping luxury's to your new places can really speed up the growth rate when you just want to make a fast town to produce something to supply your main town.
We need some form of feedback that either something isnt edible or when colonist are starving. I have no way of knowing (without extensive testing) just to figure out how much food things are producing vs what is being consumed. Gimme a number or something.
Berry meals are crafted by the berry farmes, right click on a bush to change prio and limit settings. Bread meals are made by the baker (oven).
Since both meals require berries you either need to massively farm those or disable crafting berry meals to have berries available for the bread meal
