Stonehearth is by far the most developed as it's being going for a while and is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cute! Great dev team and regualr updates/dev blogs. More of a city management style game.
Astroneer I've played only for a short time. It was fun but it became very samey to me a little quickly. Asmittedly it was a while ago that I played so should really try it again to see whats changed. It's a cool little game though. More barren survival feel than the other 2.
So while I would personally recommend stonehearth they all have great potential for the future!
Hope this helps :)
If you've got any specific questions, we'd love to answer them!
Do you have a summary sort of video that will talk us players through what you will be planning to do throughout Summer 2017 etc.
Vary of mixed reviews? According to steam it's "Very Positive" and standing at a 9/10 rating...
The "reviews" that you speak of are probably just people on forums whining because they don't get enough allowance money to buy a billion games while the Steam Summer Sale is going on.
There's berries and a very easy wheat to bread chain for food.
There are 4-5 resources to be mined.
There are 3-4 types of decent looking building blocks
There are 4 models
There is 1 type of enemy
No animations except for walking around and sleeping (with their eyes open)
I guess around 20 things to craft (including the blocks)
If you want to support them then I guess 20 euro is fine, but if you're looking for a game that has complexity then you might want to move on for now and check back much later. For me it got boring after very few hours just because there was no meaningful progression or anything else to discover. When I look at the roadmap there are promising things ahead, but I fear it will always lack the complexity I long for and probably is for another target audience than me.
As far as my personal mileage, I've picked up Astroneer (which my computer can not handle well, so I don't have much time in, unfortunately :/) and Colony Survival both at the earliest opportunity that I could. StoneHearth is on my wishlist, but I'm not as excited about it as I am about Colony Survival. Your mileage may vary.
Not a video, but we've got a roadmap: http://www.colonysurvival.nl/2017/06/roadmap-things-we-want-to-add-during.html
that said I'd definatly wishlist this game as a must have in a few months - so far the devs have been helpfull and honest about the game with rapid feed back and been really clever in keeping the people involved
like how japanese was the highest rated language video watched so they added that as first translation / some themed items to show they are paying attention with a bit more content (which honestly I would be more shocked if it didn't come) this game will be a heavy contender in the sandbox world right up there with the big names - simple to learn hard to master its a fun time and should be watched and purchased when you get the $$
