word of advice, dont cheat yourself water blocks
i decided to try something cool and put some water at the top of my mountain, maybe make a waterfall or something, going over the entrance to my mountain base. turns out water doesnt flow, it just spreads out from the placing point, so eventually the games lagging like hell and thiers water literally everywhere. so, moral of the story, dont spawn yourself water blocks XD

Yep. I was lucky enough to put it inside a basin that I had already created that was closed off, so I didn't have to learn about that the hard way.

Always save your game! lol.

Does anyone have a list of commands for cheat mode? I would like the water myself

I believe there is a list inside the quickstart menu that you can access in-game.

/cheats on , then /loot water 1

lol I did this on one of my servers and had no idea what would happen. The server crashed and everything was flooded and the world had too many block updates to run. Never doing that again.

Used it responsibly, now I have water at block level as a moat, looks a lot nicer!
