Make a backup of settings.json.. or make a backup of your entire savegame folder.
Edit the file with Notepad++ or such:
Set zombies at daylight = True
Set double amount of zombies = True
Save that and get back into game!
I have told the devs for Eco (a greenlight game, I bought it thru them directly instead of waiting for steam) about a dupe bug that they promptly fixed. I have reported bugs and exploits to the devs of 7 Days to Die and ARK and Empyrion, I break games and point out the flaws so the devs can fix them.
Everyone commenting, rather than telling me how to workaround the current game mechanics with file edits, should post the issues here on the forums, so the very active devs can work on fixing the bugs.
TLDR: Post the bugs you find instead of complaining about the exploit I have found. Help the devs make a better game instead of trying to help me make a better game.
Excellent point.
This is no workaround for me. And for sure this is no issue or bug ( BTW: there is a Bug Reports sub-forum ).
Choose what you want play, start game, play it. Devs gave us the backdoor through files to change everything.. enough for me. Sorry for those how cant edit plain-text files. I would not wait for those ingame-buttons.. most devs/games don't allow that.

Plus you can organize things underground, it's great.
It is a tower defense game.
