We are looking for new Alpha Testers!
Before we publicly release the game, we want to be sure players have a great experience. The performance has to be good on systems that meet the requirements, serious bugs and glitches have to be removed, and the gameplay has to be understandable to new players.

To achieve this, we need a significant amount of testers. Good testers:
  • Know what they like and dislike in a videogame
  • Can communicate clearly what is right and wrong with Colony Survival
  • Extensively test all parts of the game, and have time to do this the coming days and weeks
  • Can properly describe bugs and how to repeat them
  • Tell us what parts of the gameplay are unclear, and how to explain them better to new players
  • Can apply some kind of ‘triage’: glitches that are easy to fix with many benefits to players have priority over problems that are hard to improve with small benefits
  • Are discreet: they don’t share videos of the alpha gameplay online

We select good testers by asking you some questions. Answer them clearly and in detail to improve your chances of being selected and receiving a free alpha key! The questions are:

1.) What are your system specifications?
OS/CPU/GPU/RAM

2.) What is your favourite game, and why?

3.) What is the most impressive thing you’ve created in a game?
Your biggest factory in Factorio, a messed up family in the Sims, a guild in WoW? Screenshots are welcome.

Leave a comment with a detailed answer and you’ll receive a PM when you’ve been selected!

Edit May 29: Thanks for all the new responses! We're slowly increasing the amount of testers, don't worry if you haven't heard anything yet!

1.) What are your system specifications?
Windows 10/i5 6400/GTX 1070/8GB

2.) What is your favourite game, and why?
To be quite sincere, I don't necessarily have a special favorite game. I like to play all the games I enjoy on a daily basis. I like to spend time playing, for example, SIMCITY, because I love to see how it all starts with a couple house and after some time of effort, it flourishes into a big, successful (hopefully) city. I used to like playing Minecraft a lot, now I don't play it anymore, mostly because I focus mainly on other games with my friends. But I'm a very experienced builder, I made various castles, modern themed buildings, etcetera. Sadly I recently moved to a newer PC and lost all my screenshots, but I could make something if needed.

3.) What is the most impressive thing you’ve created in a game?
I made a huge castle with a group of friends on Minecraft, a mansion on The Sims, and countless more things. I consider myself a very creative person, thus I'd be extremely happy to get my hands on this game because I could mix my building skills amongst with administrative skills.

System Specs:
Windows 10/ i6 3.50GHz/ GTX 960 4GB/ 8GB ram
Favourite games: Banished, factorio, age of empires, anything where you have to build a self sustaining colony or kingdom
Most impressive thing created: built a massive conveyor belt system that didn't do anything and was waaaaaaaaaaaay too complicated to be useful. but it was fun :D
Windows 10/i5 6500/gtx 1060/8gb ram

My favorite game would have to be space engineers, I enjoy the freedom to build and the open world feel you get from a game like that.

In space engineers I was able to create a detachable gravity generator boost ring for quick travel in space.
