Timeline missing
When I open a file of someone's else blender for some reason the timeline is missing
Anyone know how to fix?

Drag open another window and switch it to the timeline.

The configuration of the users Blender interface is saved inside the blend file. If you want to open another persons file with your own configuration of the UI then Ctrl + O, click the small cogwheel on the right side and disable "Load UI".
