Yeah right, don't trust one of the most famous websites for Blender stuff. I've bought addons on Blendermarket for nearly a decade now. I would say it seems legit. :lunar2019laughingpig:
Try blenderkit

i have never heard of blendermarket and what i am looking for is a steam workshop like gmod where you can just get addons for free
blendswap has free models.
Regarding addons, those can be on github, gumroad, blendermarket ... since blender is open source there is no single centralized place to find stuff.

Check TurboSquid. If you need to animate just download Source Film Maker from steam. You can download models from the workshop. Another thing, you could buy ninja ripper and rip your meshes from FNAF, but that's pretty much illegal.

Why should you NOT pay the developers? They're not even required to make the plugin, at all.

Besides, a lot of those plugins are open source, anyways. If you know how to compile the plugin, you can get some of them for free.

On blender market's store pages, they show the plugins license. GPL means it open source. MIT, means it's most likely open source.
