If you find any (or an addon that helps) I'd be interested to know. I usually just go by how it looks but if there's an easier way I'm all for it.
Don't see how this would help with unwraps, though, it looks like it's just scaling the uv map to get the density you want (and that only on the object, independently from distance to camera etc). You'd have to unwrap it first to get that uv map anyways. But maybe I didn't understand it all.
Either way, that add-on seems to be on Gumroad, though, so good news:
1) I've bought from them and I had no problems with them at all, so giving them your email should be ok.
2) For the free stuff, you don't even need to provide an actual working email address, you get sent right to the download after entering it.
3) You can generally just set up an email account at one of the many free hosters and use that. Or even use a throwaway one like mailinator.com
Tiling issues frenzy me.
Looks like an easy fix.
Anywho, thanks for the info on other said issue as well.
The addon is called TexTools, and I don't think it comes included with Blender. If I remember correctly I grabbed it after seeing it mentioned on other forums. Never actually used it yet.
http://renderhjs.net/textools/blender/ <---- I believe that is the official download site, none of your information required to download.
Hey thanks. just downloaded it. Looks pretty good so far
