Here is documentary about his humble beginnings
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HVFF9TD0CI
Joe is "Average Joe" project of illuminaty ,advanced form of AI with angry algoritms. It is planning to take over the world thats why it specializes in shooters. In case it fails illuminaty have "Other Joe" AI that specializes in melee.
Well you can't really scream around in a room full of other Youtubers/press people while playing at such an event and Joe obviously knows that. It was still pretty strange to see him that quite though.
His final thoughts at the end of the video however have been rather positive. While he voices some concerns there really isn't anything he points out to be a real problem. Of course thats only a first impression but it's a positive one nonetheless.
Summing it up:
He had concernes for the division. After playing it he has more confidence. The graphics are lower than expected but both the lightingand smoke effects are great. The game has everything to be great. Now it'll come down to Ubisoft. Will they be able to put in it enough interesting content or not. But the base product as it is at beta date is fine, as far this french journalist is concerned.
I like Joe and i strongly disagree with you. Why are they the "toughest"? I wouldn't trust their opinions on a game more than a randoms bloke opinion.
Furthermore they're not even THAT good at games. When it comes to competitive i bet an average gamer could beat them in pretty much every genre.
Joe is funny tho. I give him that. I just wish he would make more of them angry reviews.
he's one of the most annoying reviewers out there, right behind Total Biscuit
why do you people even listen to reviews? I look at no commentary gameplay and make up my own mind
like, do you actually believe those people couldn't possibly be paid to endorse games?
Ageryjoe also said Battlefield sucked in his review, it's the reason I didn't buy it. I tend to trust Joe since his standards and mine tend to agree. So in watching his video the other day I am definetly going for the game. It looked fun, and while Joe admits to bugs (it's still alpha) he said it overall was very fun to play.
Seems like I can play my balistic shield medic and enjoy it in just a month. Should be fun! :p
Reviews give a highlight, with gamplay footage, and point out any grand flaws. I can point to an older game Damnation which is case in point. The reviews said it was bad because of many things it's control scheme. I picked the game up thinking I could handle a little bad controls, I just wanted to play some steampunk action. Last I checked I think I only lasted an hour before I gave up and moved on to another game.
Reviews should not be your only stick to measure by, I agree. But if you find a reviewer who tends to focus on things that matter to you, it helps you spend you money on games that will actually be fun. I prefer Joe since he doesn't seem to get bent out of shape over graphics (graphics do not make a good game alone), he is fun to watch for me, and going back on some of his older reviews to see his opinion vs mine we tended to agree on several points. Overall, means if he gets a preview look and likes it, and has video to back it up, I think I will like the game as well.
Joe canbe hyped? Good! In the end video games are GAMES and we're supposed to be excited bout them!
Because reviewers wern't sent review copies, they were told to play the game on release and review that.
