Teammate Coop lvl difference
So my Coop Teammate got the game before me and is 3to4 levels above me.
Every mission we play I end up finding it harder and he is able to rack up more kills as his stats are always substantially above mine, (he has more DPS and Health) hence he gets more XP, and stays ahead.
He's having more fun than me.
Is there any way to catch up apart from putting in more hours than him (which I cant)

Ask him to take a break, while you catchup. Explain that you aren't having as much fun - if they're really a friend, they'll understand and give you time to catch up.

if your in a group, he shouldnt be getting more exp than you... its shared... i dont think one player gets more than the other. maybe if they get the final hit or so. i never noticed an exp difference when playing with others

play a main mission on hard (repeat) without him. main mission give a lot of xp, imho thats the fastet way to catch up. ask him to do some DZ lvls, you guys will need them anyway.

What he said. You will be getting split EXP. If anything he is making it easier for you to level.

But I agree that this is not fun. No satisfaction in watching someone get all the kills while you sit back doing nothing.

I hope thats the case, it seems to me that in all fights he is able to push forward more, Hes able to tank and outgun me (stats) and I die more frequently.
Granted he is better, but the stats system just seems to amplify the difference

@GM Pax
I cant ask a friend to not play the game, he has more free time than me

Maybe find another friend to play with of a closer level.

Or even both create new characters. This way your friend has his main (he can play as he has more free time than you) and a second character he can use when playing with you. This way your characters will only get used together and will always remain the same level.

Ask him to go play in the Dark Zone until your reach his level. He will be gaining Dark Zone XP and credits that are extremely important.

So?

Until you both hit level cap, if the intent is to play together, then he shouldn't be getting ahead of you.

And it's not like he couldn't work up a second character when playing solo.
