Removing Loadouts - Entirely
You can delete Alpha if you make a Bravo. But I can't just delete Alpha so I have no loadout again. Why would this matter you might ask? Well loadouts which are useful for end-game, are not even remotely useful for progression, and actually impede my progression.

How?
-Every time I upgrade I get a popup asking to save. For every single inventory item.
-Every time I deconstruct I get a popup asking "ARE YOU SURE?" Yes... yes I am always sure.
-Sometimes just opening the inventory a popup will ask me if I want to save my loadout, because I neglected to save it last time, or sometimes for no apparent reason.

In a game where progressing means changing gear CONSTANTLY, on nearly every chest and Ultra tough enemy, this popup mechanic is unnecessary, annoying, and the fact that I cannot do anything to stop it is actually becoming infuriating.

Someone tell me, is there anything I can do to remove all loadouts from my character? Or a setting I've missed to STOP THE POPUPS?
Or do I actually have to start the game over again if I want this glaring issue to be fixed?

I don't remember getting pop-ups for changing every single inventory item. It is true that we get them whenever we try to move away from the inventory screen (the whole inventory screen) without saving a loadout, But I don't remember that happening otherwise.

The pop-up you're getting for deconstructing an item happens because there are mods attached to that item. This pop-up shouldn't come up otherwise. One way to avoid this is accumulating items, then marking everything you don't want as trash, and either deconstructing or selling them. You'll still get the pop-up for every item with mods attached that you mark as trash, but once you're aware of the mechanic it's much easier to adapt to pressing "A" because you know what it's asking.

I never had this problem where I just randomly open the inventory and I get a pop-up asking if I want to save my loadout.

Maybe there is an option you're missing, but this game has way too many options in the settings menu. I'll see if I can find an option that could cause that and come back to you.

Edit: Just a heads up, but you can also manually save the loadout. It's right stick click on controllers. One click, one pop-up, hit A, and then you're good. You barely even notice it once it becomes second nature.

Thanks

The thing that frustrates me most is that there is a "press x to delete" option right there on the screen, which would solve my problem, but it's like greyed out.

Howabout the devs just don't do dat and let the button they put in the game do its job lol

Pretty sure it has to do with the loadout being currently equipped. Yeah, it's a bad design not being able to completely delete loadouts or even unequip them entirely. Hopefully this has been addressed in the sequel? If not, this is the time to suggest this change for future updates, cuz it's unlikely that they'll be making any changes to this game.

TIP FOR LOADOUTS *

If you have multiple loadouts, always use the same weapons for each of them - so same primary, secondary and sidearm weapons. If you want to use a specific weapon for a specific loadout, then first change the loadout and then select the weapon you want from your inventory or stash. That way you can add new weapon mods, without messing up each loadout.
