Does the game have memory leaks?
Been playing for almost 3 hours non stop, loading into a map and then bam, the trees weren't loading and they were big green squares and other wierd textures. Then when i tried to take a picture with steam, the game crashed.

[EDIT] I play with 0 mods.

Your post made me realize dev still not fix 2GB RAM cap lock in new update. :steamsad:

Is it impossible to do it in normal way thay why dev never fix it? Hope they fix those in last update.

i did notice the game used a 32 bit exe. Isn't the bootleg fix to do what modders had to do with Fallout New Vegas where you just use a hex editor and change a hex?

If I remember that fix isn't 100% for every exe.

i just used this and it said the exe was patched. lets hope it fixes the texture issue.

DON'T USE, BREAKS LOADING THROUGH STEAM

I'm aware of those. Just a question why dev not just fix it. It should be pretty easy thing to do.

My understanding is that there is some kind of memory leak that can manifest after very long periods of play (or substantially shorter periods on modern machines). There are a few 4GB patches available on the internet (MSU's launcher being the most recent one) that help alleviate the issue for most people.

There's also an issue I keep hearing about regarding AMD graphics cards and a relatively recent (within the past ~year) version of Adrenalin, AMD's app suite on Windows, similar to GeForce experience, that manifests in this issue. Some users have reported success removing Adrenalin and reinstalling with just factory drivers, but I've heard mixed results. No clue on that one, but it doesn't seem to happen for nVidia or Intel integrated graphics, or AMD on Linux.

I've talked to the devs about providing a LAA exe; we'll see if that goes anywhere.

i am using adrenaline drivers but to be fair i played for over 3 hours and that includes tabbing in and out of the game and reloading saves etc. I just wasn't expecting the game to do that but since it can be explained by memory issues then ill just have to save the game more often.

Can't find a valid patch for 4GB at the moment. The exe patcher I found makes it so steam no longer launches the game and then the MSU launcher sees the latest EXE as illegitimate and doesn't patch it!

[EDIT] The mod author for the MSU launcher has updated it!

After all these years this game still doesn't have 64 bit OS support? Makes me wonder why because they keep releasing patches and maintaining the game.
