the mods are posted, for the most part at either moddb or nexus.

I'm also trying to figure out what's going on with Poss's mod on the Nexus as well as I'm curious as to why it's not quite working. On the world map, you'll have your deployment capacity of 18 (it was 27 in older versions but he cut it down to 18 until he figured out what's going on with this bug). In the meantime though, I've been testing other BB cap mods, namely Adam's and Grosnours's, and neither of them work for me and I'm not sure why. I've tried all suggested methods (EG: Leave it as a .zip file as the game recognizes that the same as a .dat file, or make a /scripts/etc folder tree in the "data" folder as Adam suggested as an alternate method of installation) yet the game doesn't seem to recognize their mods and fails to load them. Poss's mod at least I can confirm that the game is recognizing and loading it despite the fact it causes a crash after finishing combat. If anyone has any insight as to what's up with this, please share it. I'm trying to get into BB modding myself and I'm utterly confused as to this behavior from the game.

Note: The only other mod I was running is this one [www.nexusmods.com], and I've also tried with this mod not installed to no effect. The only reason I uinstalled it was because it turns out that the merc cap mods reference "this.World.Assets.updateFormation();" in their nut file code, and the mod above edits "world_assets.cnut", which at first I thought maybe was causing problems. But even with it gone, Poss's mod still crashes after combat (although I do have to emphasize that it works on the strategic map with at total company cap of 27 and a deployment cap of 18). I haven't tested Adam's or Grosnours's mods without the loot price mod disabled but since nothing changed with Poss's mod, I'm not sure it would matter for the game reading and using their mods.

You can always use Vanillys mod, he was able to update it yesterday.

I'm starting to wonder if the PhysFS virtual filesystem that the game uses merges the files in an arbitrary order rather than a deterministic order, leading to files being loaded for some people but not others...
LoneUnit 23 ENE 2019 a las 15:15
I'm not especially versed in that sort of matter, but wouldn't that basically mean someone would have to find a work around then if the load order is arbitrary? I ask, because even with Poss's mod I noticed that it had to have a file name that put it beneath "dat_001.dat" in the games files for the game to load it, such as "mod_27and18.zip". Of course, that doesn't explain why yours and Gorsnours's mods weren't loading for me, at least the versions I was trying for them given I tried to do the same there, ensure that whatever filename was beneath dat_001.dat in someway.

Oh, also, you mentioned in the comments on your guide you have a final version of your 18 man mod setup and ready for download. Forgive my ignorance but I seem to be having trouble finding it. You said the files included are just compiled cnut again and I'd like to test your theory regarding that perhaps being necessary. The only download link for it I can find is the one you put in this thread earlier and it's an older version since it still has plain-text .nut files instead.

Edit: Never mind, I totally missed the link on the prior page. My bad about that.

From the post section of:

https://www.nexusmods.com/battlebrothers/mods/7?tab=posts

I am currently using with no issue, it worked on a saved game (although I started a new camp, so I don't know if it's buggy.)

A Kit is being released to allow further modding, as mentioned in a earlier thread of mine.

I'm quite perplexed about the loading of modded files too, as for my three computers sporting a Battle Brothers installation, on only two of them mods are recognized properly.
Further testing is needed.

Hey, @Adam, your mod is awesome, but it causes Webknect encounters to become huge, impossible slogs, where the eggs keep multiplying the spiders in the tactical battle until theres, like, way over a hundred spiders coming at your bros. Those battles cant be won, and it seems to happen every time you fight webknects at least in the wilds.

There's bug reports about it on the nexusmods page: https://www.nexusmods.com/battlebrothers/mods/7?tab=bugs

hope you have time to fix it, I'd do shameful things to have this mod work with everything..

Adam already made a version without that bug. Don't use Vinily's version.

Yeah, sorry about that. This is the right link. https://nofile.io/f/TJ15hVnkkwA/mod_18bros.zip

From page 4 in this thread. That's the version i'm using, there are no issues with webknecht or anything else so far. I'm on day 85 or something.

It's just because it's not verified with AVG, because it's basicly just a personal file being shared from Adam. But there's lots of us using this particular file, so I would say the risk is very low.

But it's a good reason we need it on Nexus, to minimize confusion.

Okay, I put it on Nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/battlebrothers/mods/41/ Minor improvements to that version as well.

Dynamic scaling is more than a minor improvement!

But it seems we can only still have a total of 20 brothers. So only 2 in reserve with 18 on field.
