Can't save the game

As of 5th of july, I can't save the game. It started yesterday, I reinstalled the game with no success. Now I tried updating my drivers, and I checked to see if my antivirus software was blocking something, even tried opening the game as an admin, I still can't save.

It was something I noticed during a playthrough yesterday, had been pressing f5 occasionally to save. Then when I leave the game I realize none of the games have been saved. If I try to overwrite a current file or autosave, the game will just pause a bit and then continue to run, as if it had saved a game, but it clearly haven't, latest savegame was from 28th of july.

When I try to create an entirely new savegamefile, the game crashes, with the following messages:

1st box:

A critical error occurred:
Failed to create persistence storage. Reason: Unknown.
The program will now terminate.

2nd box:
A critical exception occured. See the logfile for more details.
The program will now terminate.

Are you using mods or anything?

I'd remove any mods and then verify the integrity of local files.

Moved this to Tech Support. Save-related issues are always related with antivirus software meddling with the game. Have you whitelisted the game exe and save folder in your antivirus software (or, even better, tried to turn your antivirus off for a minute to check if that makes the game work)?

Turned off my antivirus software, and then I could save. Weird. Thanks for the advice, Santo

It helped me to simply reinstall the game to be able to save again
