well if anyone has read the bug report topic anyone would have seen the save game file location so its not like its a hard place to find once u read and nor is it hard to just copy the link into your searchbar

Why on earth is that weird? Plenty of games have savefiles inside program data now-a-days.

Not weird at all, I've had a number of games use the Program Data folder.

At home my home computers installed windows 7 and I found save where specified by the developer. However, at work, I installed windows XP box and I found their conservation here: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Overhype Studios\Battle Brothers\savegames
Sry for my english, hope i helped someone)

I agree with earlier posters that this is a weird location. Whether's ProgramData in Win7 or the Docs\All Users\ is WinXP the implication is the same -- it's not currently supporting a native multi-user environment. This is to say that if Jack logged into his account for a given PC and played Battle Brothers and saved his game, and then later on Jill logged into the same PC with her user account to do the same, she'd be able to load/overwrite Jack's savegame and he'd be able to do the same with hers. This practice hearkens back to 90's Windows environment where everyone was an admin and everyone shared common program and user data.

Developers prevent these kinds of unforunate mashups by locating user-specific gamestate and settings data in native user-bound folders -- i.e., MyDocs et al. I'd guess Overhype has every intention of doing this for their 1.0 release but has back-burnered the legwork to prioritize game features and bugs. Most early-access type PC gamers are likely sole users on their gaming machines so the user impact isn't felt as keenly as say it would be when this goes into wide release. Hopefuly they get this squared by then.

This folder doesn't exist on my Windows 8.1. Also i can't find any Overhype folders inside C:\Documents and Settings\... So where are my 10 saved slots stored really ?

Just found it. Leave it here, it can be useful to someone:

"c:\Users\<CurrentUser>\Documents\Battle Brothers\savegames"

Indeed, the save game location was changed some updates ago based on your feedback.

Nice Q:\Users\DB\Documents\Battle Brothers\savegames

even though the app is installed at

Z:\desktop\Q-mirror\Steam\steamapps\common\Battle Brothers

Looks like you got it dialed and the app knows where it is at ;)
