No official cheats that I know of.
You could always use cheat engine or something similar but you'd remove a lot of the challenge and fun that way.

yep, you shoud try the easier difficulty except there is no easy mode in this game :-)

Not really helpful.

But yeah, so far I would recommend not getting this game if you're only casually interested in strategy RPGs as this game is really brutal and does not really help new players get into it.

There is no easy settings.
What you can get is just easier and faster start and that you can carry more supplies.
Combat is the same in all settings(just on higher difficulty you have hard time on start).

my comment was not meant to be helpful but as a remark at the dev's advice to try an easier difficulty whereas as he should know there is none in this game. It is designed, as you wrote, to be brutal and (in my view) frustrating.

Though that is an option, i think it would be benefical to have some dev tools added so players can mess around with builds, and though some would just use cheats to make extremely overpowered companies, its just another avenue of enjoyment. If i remember correctly, you guys want your game to have a similar feel to Mount and Blade, and when I install mods for mount and blade, I always turn cheats on to see what all i'm getting. I understand that you want your game to have a world of pure, harsh permadeath brutality, but some people just want to be casual.
Anyway, on another note, loving the game, can't wait for ocean travel! Keep it up guys!

All of the attributes are 4 bytes and with one level up you can find all of them. Attributes from level up screen are the actual attributes and all of the adresses are close to each other, so if you search close adresses, you can find other attributes without waiting level up again.

i need to ask the question here.... why wouldn't you buy a game if you can't cheat? surely that is defeating the object.... you pitting your wits against the machine... surely if you know you can cheat then that takes away all the satisfaction. hmmmm.

Don't even try, I know adults who cannot even play a board game without cheating.
You watch them cheat, call them out on it without making a big fuzz, they smile and denie.

It's in the psyche of surtain individuals and it can actually help you when choosing surtain careers, like polictics, management, etc...
