Sick of Necromancers
I think for zombies. There really needs to be some changes for how they revive. They arent always re-animated on the tile they were slain on. If your blocking it, they force you off (somehow) And other times, ive slain a foe a step away from me (whos corpse was not adjacent) to my guys. Yet they re-animate from a necro, and somehow re-spawn directly adjacent. THIS IS ANNOYING.

Honestly i feel like bodies of people slain on the same tile should just form a corpse pile of some kind. Its so stupid to me that multiple entities can not exist on the same place if killed.

These enemy's are not particularly hard. But when playing the early game, they can get through your defensive screen abusing these mechanics. And you cant really account for them. (and yes im aware of beheading) Also kind of annoying that they dont retain injuries they recivived while alive. But hey, im just tired of missing my be-head attacks and re-killing the same enemy 3 times over. Be nice if that necro had some x-com style damage feedback for slaying his Soulbound units.

Wiedergangers can self revive once. That action pushes a bro standing on the corpses to an adjacent tile.

Necromancers can revive infinitely, but they can't revive corpses when there's a unit standing on the corpse.

If Necromancers annoy you so much and you don't want to outkill their revives, try to push your formation forward first turn to get pod shots at the necro, or free up a tank after the Wiedergangers are engaged with your battle line and send your tank forward into melee range with the Necromancer. He'll just have to survive the bodyguards.

Yeah i usually just use dogs and send them out. My biggest gripe with the game, is after even 900 hours of playing. Im still totally unaware of "unspoken" rules and features that enemy units have. For as great as this game is, displaying what a unit is holding/wearing. There is ♥♥♥♥-all information to let me know specific things like that. But hey, now i know.

Yeah, there are a lot of hidden mechanics to discover. I agree that it can be annoying, but it's also part of the charm for me to discover new details every now and then even after 900 hours. (I have the same playtime.)

I notice everyone know devs changed behavior AI! Zombie now becomes smart like real human! They will know what target to hit, always go back to necromancer, and sometimes necromancer will troll you by buff on guard if he have chance! every battle undead at early game will harder! My past with 5 bros I can beat 10 zombies and 1 necromancer easy now I struggle to fight

i mean, the necromancer i would assume directs them to do specific things. Really though, i wish he took damage when they died however.. Kind of like the way witches hurt your guys when theyre cursed. Only the necro takes damage when they fully die. or have the necro spend HP to do the re-animate and buff abillitys so its not (endless)

You think this is annoying wait till you discover corpse spawn rules and bug. That could make you lose named weapon and armour even with Smith because there was no space for corpse to spawn

Just cut the heads of wiedergangers, that'll solve your problems.

Necromancers take a Resolve check if you kill their possessed Zombies, so there's that.

You can sometimes get them to Flee, but often times they just Rally themselves if no one is around to pin them.

Just pull in a group of enemies. Big rock people, spiders, bandits, etc. Let those duders duke it out, you kill winner. If you can't kill the pack of enemies that killed your necro, just leave. Contract is done anyway.
