In addition to standard chess, it also has another mode with RNG elements where your pieces get abilities with to-hit chances.
Another recommendation is Chaos Reborn. It is not a group/chess game, but has many parallels to BB. Plus, the original creator of XCOM, Jullian Gollop, is the lead designer.
EDIT : I don't own Regicide or Chaos Reborn (yet), but have been following them both for some time. I don't like buying more than one or two games at a time, because then I don't play them.
I was looking at Chaos Reborn. It might be right up my alley. I'll definitely check out Regicide as well. Thanks!
I would certainly not recommend regicide, it's basically chess with wh40k figures. a dud.
Agree with Huggles again. I have it on the other computer, and my sentiments exactly.
And I wouldn't really call Battle Brothers chess-like.
I'm still waiting for my Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics remake...
Guess I'll have to make due with Disgaea 5.
