I love the Oathtakers

See some hate on here. Really enjoying them so far the two bros you start with are pretty good. One of them is old which does suck but he is pretty good early on. They also get the Oaths which change up how you go into things and play. Also they get alot of unique ways of resolving events that usually give you way better outcomes. Had an event early on where I found some kids in a tree house, had a special option to tell them tales of Oathtaker glory. Ended up getting a noble sword out of it, was pretty sweet.

Yeah I am going to be doing that. Got lucky with my current run with both starting brothers having iron lungs.

90+ days in, still no water skin but the lvl 11 old man doesnt need your magic juice.

Would be better if the oaths were in addition to ambitions, via events, and gave far less renown. Not having ambitions makes things less interesting

Guess that also means no necklaces. That is going to make the kraken fight a challenge.

He gets a Resolve buff for being Old, which helps his Banner duties. Better to use the magic juice on a Swordmaster imo.

Correct, no necklaces, which means no Kraken cheese. In my case, I beat him before and have no interest in fighting him again so I don't think this is a big deal.

Losing the other trophies is annoying, but there are Undead/Greenskin specific Oaths that effect your whole team and are far stronger than a single trophy for at least the time you can have those active (good time to clear Monolith/City).

For the life of me I cannot get an Oathtakers campaign started well. The fatigue and overall stats just get me killed within the first days every single seed. I dont want to be folloing the AI around all the time, just to get the levels they will need.

When you above 100 Resolve +10 of it is really nothing.

You mean you beat Kraken with other origins? It has nothing to do with new origin, is it?

I'm around 70th day in my playthrough and my best bro is 9th level and I'm chased by two Oathbringers from event, they too early for me, no way I can beat them... what do I do?

I disagree. +10 on the Banner is +1 for the whole team, so that +10 is really a +21 in total. It also gets boosted by Mind so really it's +12.5 on the Old man.

Yes I cheesed the Kraken on a different origin and have no interest in fighting him. If you do want to fight him with Oathtakers then you can time it so that you have the Beast specific Oath online which gives some pretty decent buffs for the fight, but you won't be able to cheese it without the Goblin necklace so you'll have to fight him normally.

Do you mean you retreated and now they are following you around the map? I just won the fight so not sure what happens otherwise. If they are following you then try and drag them into a camp or allies and have them get killed off that way.

I take all other boosts from healing Old trait above +1 or 2 from Banner. If you bro has 32 of Resolve giving him 15 Resolve instead of 14 is a margin of error stuff, instead you get 10 hit hit points, 10 fatigue which will make much better job to save life of a banner bro in a first place.

No, it's event in a random place and time and you can't escape it - battle starts immediately after you choose three brothers to fight them. This is not a Ironman run, so I quitted before losing the battle but this event keeps popping up and my squad is not ready yet.

I didn't get a single oathtaker event in the 110 days of my first campaign with them.

I'm enjoying my Oathtaker campaign so far, but I suspect the constant bonus/malus juggling will become annoying in long campaigns.
The two starting oathtakers are very good, but they don't have the fatigue to use that equipment. Starting with a banner is huge, the old man 1-shots thugs left and right.

I'm at day 81 and its more burden than boon with the Oathtakers. I forgot how basic and limited the vanilla perks are-hopefully mods will mitigate the slog. okay i restarted on a better map and got two events that changed the game so this run is way better at day 40. Restarted again on a map with a great central trading route, a harbor connecting north and south and great cities there too. One Oath taker turns out meh but the youg guy specs into an awesome bilhookman. KNMQLMUNFE
