is heavy armor worth it post end game?
beat 2 crisis(orc and noble house) with just chain mail equipped brothers, should I upgrade to heavier armor? is it even worth the price? because to get em i have to cut beer at the tavern and being picky at contracts.

Well you don't have to, generally you can beat anything with Nimble company (I assume that's what you mean by chainmail bros). However survivability of 300/300+ battleforged bro cannot be denied. Some healthy mix of Nimble and forge bros are probably the most optimal

Thanks, I guess I just give it to my favorite front liner for fashion then, the rest will just wear chainmail.

Agree with your point about the cost - Buying heavy armour is outrageously expensive. With the exception of Barbute and Sallet helms (Which are very fatigue efficient and can't, in my experience, be obtained by looting) it's very rare that I actually buy any armour at all. But looting any knights you fight and picking up named armours/helms along the way is often sufficient to equip a company, and once you've got a brother in named armour and helmet, with battleforged, then they outstrip the durability of a nimble brother by far, especially when faced with the poisons or cleavers that are the bane of nimble brothers, although hammers can still put the fear of god in them. I agree with Hairy Coo that a mix is best - while it's hard to equip battle-forged brothers early game, they can have amazing payoff late game.

You should upgrade to coat of plates or coat of scales for your melee bros once they have enough fatigue to wear it. You will notice a huge difference in survivability and can switch to using two-handed weapons.

Well they have to be built for it really, not everyone can wear heavy armour. Make sure he has battle forged and enough fatigue to wear it (usually with brawny) - otherwise it wont be worth it. If you've already built him nimble then best keep him in chainmail.
