Day 50 no sacrifice
Hello everyone,
I'm playing with davkul cult origin and the sacrifice event never happened and it's day 50.
Is it possible? in every other run I had, the sacrifice happened after 30 day at max.
Hope it's not a bug :(

So, it has a weight of 50, plus 1 per day since the last time it happened.

50 is pretty high (most events are around 5), but there are so many cards in the deck that it can still take forever. I'd recommend kicking the weight up to something crazy, like 9999, so that the event reliably triggers shortly after cooldown (which is 21 days). After all, the sacrifice event is the cult's core mechanic, it really should be more reliable than it is.

are you using any mods the worst I had to wait for the event was a 100 days for each sacrifice event pretty sure some mods where causing that.
another thing that probably sounds more like gibberish, if the very first sacrifice event happens really late like your's day 50+ it just seems to keep firing only at +40 days afterwards

maybe I'm just seeing patterns where there is none, the cooldown is only supposed to be 21 days, and if I don't get a sacrifice event in the first 30 days I would consider restarting a campagin it's independent on seeds though, so you can play the same seed

No, I don't play with mods.
In the end the sacrifice happened at day 59 (and it was kind of atrocius, only 2 guys out of 14 levelled up their faith).
I don't think i'll restart because it's going well nonetheless. hope the sacrifice interval will go down to 21+ days and not 40+ as you said, that would sucks.
Anyway thx for the help.
If you want to try it, this is the seed: SGMOCZALVY--> good map, decent starting bros and one of them could be a great sargent

Got lucky or unlucky, depending on how you look at it. I had long stretches in my cultist run where I didn't get the event.

The chance of a sacrifice scales with the number of cultists you have

I'm pretty sure that's untrue

That seems pretty normal both with sacrifices and cult level ups.

I'm almost day 200 and have had 4 sacrifices in my current run with the first being on day 52 and this is with a mod that doubles event frequently (supposedly).

Only one of my guys is level 3 cult and he was one of my starters who are all still alive but are still only level 2 except for him.

I wouldn't use the event frequency mod with dakvul orgion whenever I tried it out my sacifice events took the longest to fire

In my last game i had the first sacrefize on day 12. But only one of 3 got a promotion.
Next was on day 47 and only 2 of 11 got a promotion.
I also had the feeling, that it might be bugged, but the next sacrefizes on day 79 and 116 where normal. So propably just unlucky.

Still, probably one of your dogs would bring you a wooden stick and the event manager would call it a day :P

In my current run, the first sacrifice happened on day 44, then day 70 and day 95 . I don't know if the first time has a weird trigger but after it seems ok. In the previous run, i don't remember when the first one happened but after it was generally 21 - 30 days between each sacrifice.

That's why with the cultist origin you try to avoid any possibility of other event. You don't recruit more than 1-2 non-cultists waiting to be convert, you avoid to keep armors/helms elligible to the cultist armor/helm event, etc.

good to hear that is not so uncommon.
I played this origin a dozen of times in january and always got the sacrifice between day 3 and 20/30. Hope to get more luck next time ;)
anyway thx for the help guys, really apreciated
