Kraken Horn Plate

Does anybody use it?

Run it in calculator on 130 hp 200/200 40% Steelbrow Nimble bro, and it still is consistently and significantly outperformed by Bone Plate against any weapon. So a breakpoint where it would become better for Nimble is unreachably high.
With Indom Horn Plate does get slightly better or equal results against most weapons with few exceptions like Mansplitter or Crypt Cleaver. Still not worth being more vulnerable while Indom is not up, Imo.

For a Battleforged bro Horn Plate is somewhat usable. At 85 hp 400/375 it does slightly outperform AFP, except against very high armor ignore.
Combined with Indom difference becomes more pronounced and Horn Plate becomes very slightly better even against 2h Hammers.

So I guess, the niche is primarily Forged Indom tanks. For non-Indom Forged it seems too risky considering that Chosen and high armor ignore elites/champions are greatest threat to them.

In comparison Kraken shields are outperformed only by top-rolled named shields and seem to be more consistent pick, unless you use no/very few shields.

kraken plate would be nice on ljirok set as you heal up hp damage. how many kraken things do you have?

Just killed 1st Kraken this run.
Yeah, Ijirok armor is good example, it has relatively less problems with armor ignore damage to begin with. Though I'm not sure a 320 armor will outperform a 400, hp regen or not.

I would use it if it wasn't locked behind the Kraken which I have no interest in fighting.

Understandable, the fight is pure cancer. Long, tedious, and yet you are only few failed rolls away from a bro dying at any given moment.
Terrain-dependent too: Kraken in a large swamp area = shafted, Kraken near decently size island = doable.
