some trade seeds
Has all the best trade resources; gems, furs, dye, etc.
Has every important settlement type for recruitment: woodlands towns for ranged, swamps for cultists/wildmen, also has FIVE barracks attached to large cities, citadels, and keeps.
Has a ton of blast furnace/ore smelters attached to keeps/citadels/large cities.
Great ports, connecting North, West, and South.
Great road system, large expanse of wilderness for exploration to E and W, tons of locations spawn inbetween towns for easy looting.
Starting traits are meh for the starts I've checked, but that hardly matters as bros die, get replaced, etc.
I've tested about 12 of the "good" seeds from here and found only one to be remarkable:
KYBRBZLLOZ
Has many ports, mediocre trade options, road network is meh, and ruins/encampments spawn sparsely. Otherwise, all other aspects are sufficient.
Much of the map is such that towns/cities are spaced too closely, or have features like mountains (which prohibit spawning) occupying space inbetween.
This led to a playthrough where you could wander for an hour and only find one place to loot, if you were lucky. Additionally, the trade options suck. A lot of cities are useless (have only vineyard, or other food production attachments.)
But the city-states have ports, which I almost never see even if they are right on the coast. Its also fairly well designed, of the many seeds I've tried on here its one of the better ones. People tend to neglect the actual map in favor of traits on bro's that will be either dead or replaced by mid/late game anyway.
SNNJPUENMV
Excellent trade: 2 mining villages with gems and salt (one gem mine is burned down upon start), villages with furs, lumber, dye, iron, and more.
Travel: 4 ports connecting N and S. Excellent road network, no random inaccessible island towns, no roads leading nowhere, nothing broken.
Exploration: Large expanse to the W with tons of legendary locations and ruins for loot. Also there are some small zones between towns for quick looting.
Map: Finally a map with both a distinct Southern desert and Northern snowy biomes. Since Blazing Deserts, the north has gotten the shaft and most seeds skimp on northern territories. This is one of the few I've seen that has more than a tiny sliver of the top map as snowy tundra.
Recruitment: lots of barracks, militia barracks, and every key city type that increases spawn rates for specific backrounds: swamp city (wildmen, cultists), woodland towns (ranged).
Purchasing power: citadels, keeps, and forts all have ore smelter and blast furnace. I've seen legendary items in almost every citadel so far.
Traits: No idea, they don't really matter to me, the map is what really matters. I've only seen lone wolf, which has the trait bright.
WoW thx !
