how exactly can you "farm" for events with this method?
hi everyone.
in an another thread @McGrits explained a method to "farm" events (=> https://steamcommunity.com/app/365360/discussions/0/5501743491370463667/).

this user explains about resetting the event timer by going back to the main menu and reload (just in short).

obviously to reroll the event you need to hve a save before one accure. my question would be: does this save need to be immedieatly BEFORE an event happens (so i need to be lucky to save before one accure) or is it enough to simply save as soon as you arrive at the right place (e.g. kings guard event => snowy road)?

thank you for your help.

You have to sort of predict it and get a bit lucky. The event happens roughly every 2-3 days so if you had one happen you can go do a quick contract before waiting for the next one.

Way I ended up getting the barbarian was get into a town in the tundra during the "downtime", leave it and about 5-10 seconds later an event popped, so I reloaded the autosave created by me leaving town and kept camping out on the road and repeating the process.

The timing isn't always the same but if you had an event happen and you have an autosave on the same day, it will work for farming the one you need provided you can meet the requirements before it happens.

i'm pretty sure this has been fixed by devs and you can't get an event for a few first days after the load.

It's how I've gotten both King's Guard and Barbarian, so either that slipped through the cracks or they didn't fix it.

The key is how you load the game. From the main screen, you mostly keep the current timer when saved within a small variation. If you reload from the in-game world screen after an event, the timer is reset and it will take you longer for an event even though you go back in time.
