DLC or just Base Game

Greetings, I have a dumb question.

Is the DLC necessary or am I fine with just the base game?

Is it necessary? No.
Does it adds alot of stuff making one of the best turnbased tactical game even better? It does.

I would personaly recommend taking base game and then decide if you want to pay for DLC. Tho it might cost more than buying everything in one pack.

I would recommend playing the base game before adding DLCs. The extra content is very good and I always have it on; but the experience the base game offers is more compact and shows the world in a bleaker light which I've always enjoyed.

So, you don't need the DLCs, they're great to add on to the game if you do couple of runs and think you want to keep playing. After all it is a very difficult game and if you ragequit a few hours in you wont even see half of what the game has.

Thank you guys for the fast replies, sometimes companies use DLC to “fix” the base game. So I am glad to hear that battle brothers is good without it.

It's also the best DLC imo. Cool Barbarians, cool Barbarian weapons, champion enemies and loads of origins.

I just wanted to report that my journey started very rough, I lost all my men in the first 5 minutes.

I also think I shot one of my man into his arse .

The second time I was able to complete some contracts but got eaten alive by some weird undead creatures after that my men lost all hope and I run out of money, so they just gave up on life.

At the moment I am on my third try and it goes ok, death is always present, but glory could wait as well.

That's perfectly normal just starting out. You'll improve over time and hopefully enjoy yourself along the way. Surviving the first few days and getting established is the hardest part of every run.

Yea, base game has great content for hundreds of hours anyway. DLC just makes it even richer. Buy dlcs after you find the game enjoyable.

This works short term solution but wages are better.
