Is it possible to speed up overland travel?
Otherwise, I'll refund. Good game, but my time is too precious to watch a little doll crawl over the map at snails pace

I got a similar issue with the overland trave, how am I supposed to catch bandits that run from me. I am not really much faster and it took me days to run down some bandits that fled across half of the map

He's not talking about the party moving faster in relation to other parties, he's talking about speeding up time.

My party has always been faster whenever I've chased anything. Sure it might take a few days sometimes and force you to chase over mountains and through swampy forests, but I ultimately always catch the guy if I am attentive enough. The problem is there's no "Lock on and chase" so you constantly need to re-adjust the party's movement during the chase to maintain efficiency.

The only way I currently know of (not how) to speed the game up on the overland map is by using cheat engine. It's been mentioned before in these forums but I don't specifically know what memory addresses to look for.

Thanks! Works for me. It's not a specific address, CE hooks into a windows timer routine.

I gotta agree, some kind of speedup function would be a godsend. Mount & Blade: Warband does it with control + space, which makes getting where you're going nice and quick instead of a long, grinding slog. Having it auto-slowdown to normal if you see hostile parties on the map would help so that you don't just automatically slam into a band of raiders you really don't feel like dealing with, too.

Pffff, why would you speed it up, you can't speed up real life issues when they appear, it's all about roleplaying and I love roleplaying. I'm aware I can't speed up my way to work each day and I deal with it, therefor in game I react the same when my company is travelling, I think about what stuff do they stumble upon which doesn't pop out in a window.
What do Monk and Flagellant really talk when they argue about faith, how old my Swordmaster is, which one of my crew would be the craven and which one is the bravest, I make up stories in my head in the meantime while they are travelling and it's awesome, but hey that's just me.

You would have loved the irrational survivor cultist who had brain damage and was my sargebro in one of the runs I did..

it's almost as if you're implying something here, but I won't go that low on your level

Bump. Is there one?
Macdallan May 27, 2017 @ 8:56pm
On the main map you have three "speeds." Space = pause. 1 = normal speed. 2= fast speed. Same controls are also available at the top middle of the map.

Thanks; found it. It appears that "fast speed" has to be constantly re-set after a game pause, a battle, or a visit to town though.

Still progress!

To be honest there should be an even faster accelerate time.

2x is way too slow to respect the average player time.

I tend to agree. Also, there should be an option to permanently set it.
