Berserker mushroom use makes no sense
So, you get those nifty bezerker mushrooms. They increase attack and dcrease defense for three turns, starting at 30% and decreasing by 10% per turn. Neat. However, it takes 6AP to use them, which means you can't actually attack anyone on the turn you use them. So in reality, you two turns of effective use out of them. This makes absolutely no sense, and I think it should be adjusted so that either they take three or less AP to use, or the effects last longer.

Wait what the effect decays?

Isn't it so you can't use them while engaged in melee combat as well? If so it might even take 2 turns before a twohanded wielder gets to use the effect...


Turns out those mushrooms are pretty awful overall.

Yes, its 30% the turn you use it, 20% the next turn, and 10% the last turn. You can use them while in melee though. That was the problem, my two hander got surrounded by 5 orcs, so I thought "this is the perfect time to hulk out." So I popped the mushrooms, prepared myself for glory, and then realized I only had 3AP left. So instead of doing something awesome, he just stood there with -30% melee defense and let the orcs treat him like a pinata. If he hadn't been wearing unique armor and helm he would have been dead.

That is terrible choice then.
It should be only fatgue cost then. like 10 Fatigue.

Patch just now:
Changed effect of 'Strange Mushrooms' to last 4 instead of 3 turns.

Gotta love these devs!

Do you also love that someone taking part in this development did not see the obvious correlation between the amount of action points a character has, the action point cost, and the duration of the effect?

It's good that you want to show your support for the devs, but in this case i'd be slightly worried about enabling.

Also, if you happen to have dagger mastery you get a 3 AP dagger attack -- so, you can use mushrooms and attack in the same round, provided that you don't move. Never actually done that myself, but I plan to if I can ever find a unique dagger. Personally, I use them on my 2-hand guy the turn before I get into melee range. Nice that he'll actually get that +30% damage next time I find some!

or kill someone as berserker, take some moshrooms as reward and go full throttle crazy

by the way, a guy with a malfunctioning heart should die
