Noble war not ending
This might be a very specific problem, but perhaps someone can help. I'm currently having the noble war crisis and my problem is that two of those events fired where you can help the peasants in exchange for a hit on your relationship with the noble houses. As expected those events fired for the house I was allied with. I only realised after a few days that my relations dropped to "threatening" since the normal towns don't turn hostile if you have good relations with them before (and don't drop to "hostile" with their overlording faction). Since I had enough towns with good relations I simple continued to play the campaign and avoided the troops of my former ally. However, its been over thirty days and the status of the war shows "almost over" since then. I fear that nothing is going to happen because the ambition event (I have "ending the war" as active ambition) requires being aligned to one faction, but all three hate me now. I realized that relations slowly restore even during the war, but they moved only like 5mm in 30 days. So my question is whether I'm farked, have to cancel the ambition to end it or if the war will end anyhow?

All crisis end after a certain amount of specific troops (undead, greenskin, noble houses) and camps are killed on the world map, not counting who kills them (means: NPC battles do count), while doing contracts against a faction does also add "points" to the end of a crisis.
So...maybe just kill a bunch more noble troops and see what happens.

Well, I tried and fought a number of caravans (4-5 since "almost over" popped up). I supported the strongest family so the other houses only spawn very few patrols and they are like two days away from the towns still friendly towards me, therefore I limited my expeditions into their territory.
In this case I might try to fight a few more enemy troops. Despite that two towns already changed sides since the "almost over" message, which should have pushed the counter significantly. Normally the wars ended after fullfilling around 4 contracts. This time I already did 2 contracts plus the other stuff I described, but the war isn't ending.

Thanks, I finally ended the war after crushing three more patrols. I had totally forgotten about the counter mechanic.
