These are the worst traits, the is no competition.
Every Recruit during early game seems to have them.
They're a bit more likely to leave if they get really angry, otherwise they're just perfectly happy with sitting in reserve.
That's just a personal flavor for me. I don't like people that will turn the tale when things get dire.
Yes. But disloyal is one a whole worse level.
Disloyal....I always get the feeling that these might just switch sides and start backstabbing you because the enemy pays better or something (even if that is not an ingame thing...but I'm fine if the devs take that as an idea for someday BB2 or something.)
Dastard, fainthearted and insecure is just "scared and running away", but disloyal....that is close to being a traitor.
Well craven is objectively worse than fainthearted.
Disloyal is irrelevant to me. I don't lose by running out of food or money.
I'd say dastard, insecure, cocky and superstitious. Dastard has the most dramatic effect on gameplay, and superstitious is bad at critical morale checks and also adds horrible random events.
Insecure because confident makes a big difference, and many battles involve killing weaker enemies to get confidence to face the tougher enemies.
Cocky is one others may like that I don't. Melee defense matters a lot, even for a sergeant in the hardest battles.
No matter how good all the stats are, if a bro has Asthmatic, I'd be forced to give him "Recover" early on and he'd start becoming useless half-way into the battle. Really limits the builds you can do with them.
I really dislike Dastard because of the -10 on all stats every battle opening.
Yesterday I had a campaign in which the first 7 whole days I could not find a single recruit with a star in Melee Atk and on day 8 I found this bastard.

Everybody loves Iron Lungs but my favorite would be Brute on a guy with high melee Atk. I always make a 1H 3-headed flail Duelist with Fearsome to wreck enemy morale.
Died first Fight, first hit, against a metal reinforced flail to the head. Had a headband on (56 HP with 20HP for the headband)
♥♥♥♥ me.
I mean, why did you give that guy a 20 durability helmet, and why did you put him in the frontline?
Lonewolf, first guy in my troop, inexperienced.
