Ah, okay. Do you know how much damage they do?
I found it invaluable when fighting the goblin city, or just goblin fortress in general. Goblin have low armor and low health, and in defense battle, they bunch up on a hill top with choke points. each fire pot can easily damage 3 - 4 enemies for 3 turns.
Also, the damage is not mitigated by Nimble making it particularly good against Nimble enemies (and particularly dangerous to your own Nimble bros).
That's a lot more than I expected. Wow. I guess I will start using them from now on. Thanks, guys!
Great for throwing over walled fortifications, sends the enemy archers into disarray. You only need one or two and can completely shift the battle in your favour.
Got it. Do you usually have a front-liner throw it?
I like having them on a cleaver duelist, that way they can use it in their off hand. I think of it in terms of opportunity cost vs. raw damage, where a single throw of a fire pot can cause the enemy to waste their turns repositioning. It's like a doing a fork in chess that forces the opponent to react. They're an expensive "I win" button.
