Can Anatomists become stronger end game than even Davkul Cultists?
Since I play longer campaigns, I was thinking of getting every single permanent potion buff on every member of the team (except the ones that are impossible to get for everyone such as Ijirok - or the ones that are impractical such as Kraken). How practical is this - and, more precisely, how long will this take?

Playing anatomist you morale never reach confident.

That means in general you lose 10% stats across board + you are more vurneable to morale hits in battle.

Ah, okay. I've never really paid attention to morale status, so I don't know how that would impact my game and play-style though.

By the way, the Anatomist Background seems to make a decent ranged units? I never even noticed this. Almost on par with Sellswords.

Morale is big.

I always considered mroale just against geists or sign if bro is fleeing battle or fight. but actually each morale level is worth 10% of combat and defense skill. Noted very well in Oathtaker origin with Oaths that randomly lowers morale - not only some enemy approach and hits could start chain of panick in my mid game aprty but they had issue hit anything until saerge rallied them back to steady (thatw as first time I included secondary sargant to group too)

Since than I even value resolve much more,

That does not say Anatomist origin must be weak or whatever (I did not played myself) and I believe the potions can be very strong - but if you were looking for draw, here it is.

you only get 1 potion of each, can get a new one from hunting the specific beasts if the brother having used the potion dies or gets dismissed, not counting some potion's from the unique monsters.
because of no confident morale I would have to say anatomist are weaker then endgame cultists

I see. So the lesson is not to play Oathtakers (since they do not seem to have a counter-balancing uber buff)? ;)

Ah, so you can get new potion only if the drinker dies? WTF.

Then I am not playing the Origin then, LOL! ;)

Edit: I guess I will just take an individual Anatomist in other runs so I can get the Melee Defense buff Event.

You always play 1 Oath at time and can pick it - so you cna even eveade this one forever (each oOath ahs some cons, some pros.. but in time it was like "so what peenalty to pick now"?) And actually one they have is that bros never flee... This allowed me defeat Stronghold siege parties with 20 geists or smth.

It was good game but I still like ambitions more than Oaths and would never go back to that origin again.

I see. I have never really thought deeply about Ambitions, because it's always there. So I'd have to compare Ambitions and Oaths comprehensively to figure things out for myself.

Or maybe I will just keep playing Cultist origin? I am a front-runner and always gravitate toward OP stuff! ;)

I really haven't found morale to be that big an issue in my Anatomist campaigns, but perhaps that's just a playstyle thing. The "1 of each potion type" stipulation is the much bigger issue for your plan, though, Lampros.

I haven't run a *ton* of late game cultist or anatomist campaigns, but if I were to broadly characterize them I'd say in my experience Anatomists ramp up faster, but cultist's are maybe stronger once you've got everyone fully powered up because it's a flat improvement across the board.

Anatomists outscale cultists and everything imaginable. with anatomist you can have 200 hp bro that resurrects upon death with full hp, reflects hp damage, heals every turn and lifesteals, never flees and so on. you can solo nearly everything in the game with that dude.
